***OFFICIAL AP US History Thread 2013-2014***

Someone make a google docs for this with the mc answers pls

Sorry I did but trolls were trolls ^

My predictions are

65-70/80 MC
4-6 DBQ
3-5 Essay 2 FRQ
7-8 Essay 4 FRQ

Hopefully that gets a 5

I did 2 and 4 too, and I looked around and most of my classmates did those too.

I thought the MC was kinda hard, but the essays were pretty essay. JMO

3 & 5 son, Reagan/conservatism was pretty easy compared to reconstruction, more recent

3 was just BS

MC was ok, i think i got ~70

messed up on E2 tho… JKP was not a Whig…

All the essays were pretty easy for me (2/4). I had previously written an essay about how puritanism, the enlightenment, and the 1st great awakening developed the colonial american identity, so i just rewrote my essay lol. 4 was pretty straightforward. I never really got to reagan so I’m glad I got to opt-out of 5 :)

To the person asking what open door notes, that is the policy of having no spheres of influences in China and having a policy that every one is allowed in. The US wanted to propose this to gain political and economic power in China without having to compete with other world powers.

Exactly how bad is a laundry list? The way I organized my essay I had pretty close to a laundry list excluding 1 document, however I felt I used the documents effectively despite this concern.

Did you use outside sources?

What score I will get if I made a major mistake on frq?? I thought Whigs was advocating for low tariff which is wrong. But I still have all the outside evidence and stuff like that… PLEASE help!!! thanks a lot!!

elvis, if you’re referring to me then yes I did have pretty significant outside knowledge.

@Shadoww you’ll lose like 2-3 points for the error: i did the same thing, but a little worse (said James K. Polk was a Whig, ■■■ was I doing), and graders might be a little harsher of the essay as a whole, but if the rest is good you’ll definitely get at least 4-5 / 9

@cosmological I feel the exact same way about how i did on the exam. And i did 2 and 4 too.

If those predictions hold true its a definite 5

Yikes…I think I’m on the borderline of a 4/5. Hearing how everyone thought the exam was soooooo easy makes me think that the curve will not be in our favor. I thought the mc (guessing <60/80) was hard, but the essays (3/4) were pretty easy.

@Shadoww‌ as long as you have a developed thesis and decent info youre fine. You may not get aboveva 5/9 but if your Mc is decent thats more than enough

@shadoww assuming you got 65+ MC, you only need like an average of 5 on the essays, don;t sweat it

What was the DBQ???

How/why did american foreign policy develop from the end of ww1 to the end of the korean war.

What were teh FRQ’s???
