They’re probably making changes in other buildings. It would be a little inhumane to stuff two people into an Elliott single

I’m going to call and find out

I visited Elliott last month. There’s no way two people can fit in those dorms, unless they install bunk beds and force roommates to share a desk and closet

A girl I know just spoke to their office in person. They are most probably doubling singles in plimpton

Ugh I was expecting something that’s actually on campus

Plimpton is on 122

Usually freshman only get “on campus”. Elliott is across the street from campus

I know, but it’s on the opposite side of Columbia’s campus. There are designated freshman halls but a lot of upperclassmen also stay on the quad or in Elliott (which is close enough for me)

Pretty sure it’s gonna only be in Plimpton because the rooms that have “freed” up are girls in singles who are willing to double their single

can you guys post your stats? I’m thinking of transferring next spring and i’m not sure if i have a chance. thanks!

Don’t transfer during the spring. Wait for the fall semester

I didn’t get anything in my gbear ): Anyways, here’s what I found about plimpton hall. A “review” of sorts I guess.

[The Nine Ways of Knowing: Housing Review: Plimpton](<a href=“Page not found”>Page not found)

Pros to me seem to be decent kitchen (for those of you who want to cook!) and it has a computer lab with 2 massive printers and swipe access to Milbank’s door.

Cons are noisy, possible constant bathroom problems, and possible miniscule room. (Apparently, some of the singles are as small as Elliots.)

I’m not accepting “on campus” housing I can have my own room with a kitchen etc in an apt for 800, no way im sharing a single for 1000 a month !

Yikes. Sorry to hear that, barnardbarnard. Apparently 40 transfers are still without housing.

An apartment in MH would probably be nicer than Barnard’s dorms, but the $200 difference in price is irrelevant when you consider that Barnard cuts your grant by thousands if you opt for off-campus housing

I didn’t get any grants therefore less expensive housing in awesome to me!

Oh. Yeah, well in that case, go for it

Anyone still need a place to live

Offered on-campus housing! Gahhhh, so thrilled. Didn’t think it’d work out, but it did!

i got offered an on campus single…meh i don’t know what to do :/

I still haven’t received any information about the building or room assignment
