My family didn’t apply for FA, but it’s absolutely unfair for those who did…

I agree. I really wish it didn’t matter.

Sorry OP I had no idea my request would derail your thread so much!

I was just looking for a line something like the following:

Applied for financial aid? Y or N

But if it’s causing too much distress don’t worry about it.

where u were accepted/rejected/waitlisted ans where u’ll be going?

glitters426: um…

And as for the whole FA thing, just put whether or not you applied for it! It’s that simple. I can’t believe everyone’s making such a big deal out of it. Just say whether you applied for FA - yes or no. It’s not that hard. It is a factor at need-sighted schools which is why it should be included.

And again, as for the whole EC thing, do you really want this thread to turn into a giant hate thread as soon as someone posts (and inevitably they will) that they play 11 sports, take part in MUN, debate, drums, violin, cello, piano, are actively involved in a school production, and are also a mini entrepreneur “in their spare time?” I know I don’t. This thread is for STATS.

Again, sorry.

Oh, and can anyone else believe that Exeter all of a sudden dropped their need-blind status? I never even received any communication from them about it!

can everyone that’s MADE their decisions on where they’re going to look at my thread? It’s just to arrange meetings between CCers, so no chancing, no boasting, and don’t say where you got accepted/waitlisted/rejected. JUST say where you’re going (obviously this only applies aftter M10, but there will be some chatting beforehand)

It’s called “2009-10 Matriculation and CC Meetings” or something to that effect. I can’t remember its exact title.

Quit advertising your threads on other people’s…

sorry. 10char

Jees, you guys are very protective of your threads. Calm yourselves.

Yo Izzy, why can’t we boast! We ought to make a thread after m10 where everyone boasts about their schools and their sports teams. It would be very cool!

no
the purpose of my thread is to make meet-ups between CCers. not to boast. make a boasting thread, if that’s what you want.

Tom, do you go to Staples by any chance, because I go to school five minutes from there?

Haha yeah, small world.

TomTheCat, do you have an English accent?

No… it’s not like he lives in England or anything…

Haha, If he had reccently moved there, maybe not…

BTW, did you consider Eton?

Haha, Eton. Too bad it’s all-boys. xD

I heard that until a number of years ago, you had to be registered at BIRTH to attend the school? Um, what?

I wanted to go to Eton… until I found out it was all boys :(, and I’m sure there are great girls schools too but none as renowned (as far as I know but that’s not saying much) as Eton

Me too. I’ve also heard that Eton really blows though. They may just be bitter. :D

Question on the GPA weighted/unweighted website…what if our school does simply A, B, C etc, and not A+, A, A-, etc?
