I didn’t get anything and I live in New Hampshire. But hopefully something will arrive this afternoon!!

If you don’t mind me asking, from where did you all hear that letters were mailed Wednesday? I believe you guys obviously, I just want to read whatever post this was. Also, is it known whether all of the letters were mailed the same day or on different ones? I’m reading conflicting posts on this thread.

D just received the big envelope in the mail! We live in upstate NY, so still pretty close to Boston, but maybe this bodes well for at least those of you in the Northeast. Letter indicates admission, but no Financial Aid info included. Letter says that info will be available through the Agora porthole, but not until Monday, the 28th. D’s stats in brief: 30 ACT, 98 GPA, multiple AP & honors courses, multiple service ECs. Good luck to everyone! Maybe we’ll see you at one of the Open Houses, which our letter listed as 4/10 and 4/17.

Sorry, can’t figure out how to work the formatting. I live in Mass. and got my acceptance package yesterday. Its a big envelope with a folder inside. Good luck all!

Where did you here that internationals are rejected by e-mail… Does that mean that those who were rejected have already been notified?

Disappointed

There is a chance that you were W/L because you were “too good”. Many schools that are just off the top tier wait list the great kids because they believe that they might be heading for an Ivy. My recommendation is to call up BC, express interest and you might get off the WL pretty quick.

Hmm, so do I just call the admissions department and explain to them that I would be interested in potentially attending if they accepted me?

First waitlist, not exactly sure what I can do to increase my chance of admission.

Absolutely call BC Admissions and ask them for a reason why you were waitlisted. But use the phone call more as a sales pitch and ask them to please reconsider because you really would like to go to BC (if that expresses your intentions). And then follow it up with a letter that would reiterate your intentions.

I have an ivy spec with many national awards, 34 ACT, 2-800 & 1-740 in SATIIs, and many performances with pro orchestras with top 5% GPA and 12 AP courses in total. I can’t believe I was waitlisted by BC. I was accepted to UMich, Williams(EW), Northwestern. I was not going to go to BC and it was my safety but I can’t figure out what was the problem.

I got in I got my letter today…I’m from rhode island btw

I got waitlisted. Boo! I’m a little upset, but it was a reach school for me. I live in Pennsylvania.

@netthreat

Thank you for the advice. I will call them then and let them know. Should I also send an additional recommendation with my letter of interest?
