*****Official Boston College EA Class of 2018 Thread****

@iceman101 Biology. I loved AP bio, and if I’m trying to go pre-med, this is a safe option. I’ll probably try to minor in Hispanic studies, as well. I haven’t applied yet because I applied ED to Tufts (denied) and BC is restricted EA.

The BC portal will not change for a few days. This gives everyone a chance to receive their letters without being able to find out online prior to receiving the mail. If you were accepted the portal tabs will now have an F and P tab. The F tab is for financial aid and the P tab allows you to pay the deposit.

National average for Biology Molecular 655, so you are little below. But, it’s ok as long as you showed your interest in Biology. Good luck!

Thank you iceman! I did well in the AP class itself (96) and on the AP exam, I got a 4, even after accidentally skipping all of the grid ins. That was the dumbest thing I have ever done. I had a solid 20 minutes left to do the grid ins, and thought to “go on” symbol said “stop”, so I put my head down for 20 minutes and waited for the free response. I don’t think it would have made a HUGE difference, but still. Have you heard yet?

Hi! I’m really nervous about getting my letter in the mail for EA. BC is my first choice. I have a 4.0 ave and a 30 ACT test score. I’m a competitive figure skater all year round, I’m in chorus, I participate in church activities, I’ve been on dance team all the years I’ve been in high school, I’m in communications club, French club, and I play piano. I also have 20 hours of community service and I’m an intern at a psychologist’a office (I want to major in psych). What do you think my chances are? I know early action is highly selective and that’s why I’m worried.

Hi Sorry forgot to include some information on my previous post: What are my chances of getting in?

is your GPA weighted or unweighted??

Yes, and you do have an amazing story!!
Wow I hope you emphasized about your cancer in the essay!!!
Yes, I think that will help stand out your mediocre standardized test scores.
I think you too have a good chance. Personal accomplishment also is a big part of the admission.
Wow everyone here has a nice test scores and great stories. I feel bad for myself :)

Will Southern California get decisions tomorrow?

Weighted -_- and thank you! I hope i get in. I should probably read the thread on how to deal with rejection from your number one. :stuck_out_tongue: jic. I’m going to bed.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WHO IS GETTING IT TOMORROW I HOPE FOR ALL OF YOU THAT YOU GET IN! I will post around 2:45 eastern time if im in or not.

Wait, when do you guys think Wisconsin will be getting?? :(

It takes about three to four days for Southern California to get mail from Boston. The waiting is the worst part.

@chamazing really?

I think most of us can start expecting it tomorrow (12/18). I also applied to Georgetown (got deferred) and got my letter within two days. I think it should only be maybe a couple of extra days if any from Boston.

@felipafan The mail from Boston to California definitely takes longer. My experience has always been no less than three days.

according to the priority mail map, socal gets mail within 2 days from boston, assuming they send it priority

Hey everyone, can you please post your stats on the other thread?

What’s the link to the other thread @Living61?
