Now, I know Boston College is not known to give out any satisfying financial aid, however, I really want to go…just not sure if I can afford it.

For those who were accepted last year, could you post how much aid you recieved along with your EFC and of the such. (i.e. family income, taxes paid, business equity, etc)Thank you.

Please also post if you got in EA and contribute some ideas as whether if you are able to go or not sure yet.

I thought that Boston College was good with financial aid???

This is my first post on any College Confidential board, but I wanted to introduce myself and say that I am also interested in financial aid information about BC. I live about 20 minutes from Boston and was accepted into the Honors Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. I will hopefully be attending in the fall; the only thing holding me back is financing it. My family income is very low, so I'm hoping for a substantial aid package, but I really haven't heard any feedback on how generous BC is with aid. Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm a freshman now and this is my aid package (for the entire 05/06 year).
Boston College Schol'Ship $15100
Federal S.E.O.G. $400
Federal Pell Grant $750
Mass Grant $200
Federal Perkins Loan $2500
Federal Work-Study $2200
Mass Grant-Estimate $200
Federal Stafford Loan $2625
Federal Pell Gt-Estimate $750
Total: $24725

I was accepted last year and applied for financial aid. Their financial aid wasn't bad for the category I was in, but it wasn't very good at all. You can always try giving them extra e-mails and phonecalls once they send you an evaluation, but in my case, it didn't do so much.
