Hey y’all: are apps due BEFORE March 1st or ON March 1st? Some colleges have an on or by the due date policy and I just want to make sure I don’t wait too long.

@catlas2014 I’m pretty sure the application is due on March 1st, not before.

Somehow my College Report that I sent over a month ago still hasn’t made it’s way to Brown yet. That’s the last thing they’re missing from me - just want to get all the application stuff done with.

@calvinwong I think you have a good chance. Is your high school transcript on par with your college transcript?

Hey guys ~ I sent in my common app yesterday. How long did it take for you to receive a login?

I sent in my application the second week of February and still haven’t received my login info. It says one of my recommendations was “downloaded.” Should I be worried?

@catlas2014 I sent in my Common Application on February 15, and got my login information in an email on the 27th. So, I’d think it’ll take around two weeks to get.
@wannabegenious I believe that it’s a good thing that the recommendations were downloaded! Pretty sure that means that Brown has received them and they are part of your file now.

@Kraz4CocoPuffs Yes. My high school transcript was on it. How about you? What other schools are you applying to?

Looking to transfer to Brown from College of Wooster
Major: CS
Entering as: Junior
College GPA: 3.946
Major GPA: 4.0
HS GPA: 9.3/10.0 (Non-US school, 9.6 was the highest grade I believe)

SAT: 2010 (660 Reading; 680 Math; 670 Writing)

College Classes: Multimedia Computing, Problem solving with C, Prin of Comp Org, Data Structures + Algorithm, Algorithm Analysis (Junior Research) and Database Engineering

Other non-CS class: Astro, Dance, Econ, Theater (Somehow I ended up taking a 300 lvl in my Freshman year. Prof was really harsh with the grading. However, it was fun and I have no regret.)

High School ECs:
Class representative, Founder of After Effect club in my school, etc
But I didn’t leave any HS ECs in as I didn’t think it could reflect my new found love (CS!)

College ECs:
Research Assistant for CS department
Designer/Programmer for Theater department (Dance Concert)
Developing algorithm and app that I like and think can be useful ^^
First Responder
Machine Learning club

Recommendations:
CS prof and another CS prof (too obvious? hehe)

Why Brown?

I can stretch myself more at Brown with research opportunity and more tracks of CS.

Hey guys in the application summary there is a Counselor Recommendation slot. Is this supposed to be the college report or something entirely different?

I still haven’t received my login information. Should I give them a call?

@wannabegenious Yes, you should.

@wannabegenious I haven’t received mine either. Don’t sweat it. A lot of people have been saying it takes about two weeks.

Oops, my mistake. Didn’t notice this was the transfer thread.

I read somewhere on Brown’s website that previous applicants don’t have to send their SAT scores again. Can someone verify this…would I have to contact admissions to let them know that they have that info on file already?

Anyway, I also haven’t received any login information yet.

Hey all, quick question about the Mid-Term Report. Can we email it or fax it to Brown or do we have to mail it?

@anonymous55 You have to mail it in. I would do it ASAP

To anyone who might have the same question about the Mid-Term Report as me, I just called Undergraduate Admission and the person who picked up told me that sending it as an email is perfectly acceptable.
