****official cal poly slo class of 2018 decisions****

He forgot to send scores to cal poly

In his Cal Poly’s account there is a ToDo list. But that list is empty.

@nrbsab The csu campuses don’t share the scores. Once they are sent to 1 campus ( which you already did) you log into csu mentor & “release them”.

1) Login to csu mentor
2)click on tab “apply online”
3) click on “ACT Scores Manager”
4) update the info exactly as listed on ACT registration
5) add CP SLO to list & release scores to the campus.

Hope this helps.

sorry if asked previously- are there any notices of acceptance over the weekend?

Ok. I’m pretty sure my MCA is 4473.4. In-state BME major with no decision yet.

@CollegiateDreams multiply your math and CR by 1.031

Question for anyone out there (figured out answer to other question) is there any MCA points awarded for taking major-related classes?

@gotoslo I have been accepted to sdsu cal poly Pomona and csu long beach. I’m still waiting for ucs but cal poly is basically my number one

It looks like they do have major specific class points, but they weren’t outlined in that handout PDF that the link took me to. I couldn’t tell if they would use the general all colleges point system, or the more specific one. Maybe each major is done slightly differently. The MCA points that you all re posting seem quite good, so have patience, maybe next week they’ll release ME and BME acceptances. Good luck.

As I calculate the MCA, it is about 4724(that accounts for maxi points for gpa and points for classes) Applied to BME and still haven’t heard anything. I feel like that should have been very competitive score. Any ideas? Anyone?

BME at CalPoly is probably very competitive. im assuming very few slots available…im surprised as well with the BME stats this year, just imagining the ones that actually got in

Admitted into Computer Science on Friday.
Stats:
1910 SAT 1950 Superscored
30 on ACT
with 34 on math and 31 in science
4.17 gpa for CSU
4.35 W at school and 3.87 unweighted

Pretty excited about this. As I look more and more into the program, I am starting to consider it over UCLA even if I happened to get in there.

My son checked his application status today and it’s showing as accepted. No e-mail yet but what a relief.
Electrical Engineering
In-State
GPA 3.95 unweighted/4.87 weighted- not sure on CSU
SAT 2290
ACT 34

@latteladyla, what is the “ACT release to CSU” via CSU mentor you mention? If we actually log into ACT and send the scores directly to the CSUs, do we still have to “release” them through CSU mentor? Geesh, I hope it’s not too late. I thought we’ve done all our homework on the admission process, I’d hate to think we wouldn’t get accepted to CalPoly because we didn’t release the ACT through CSU mentor. We did send it directly from ACT, but after Jan. 15.

Admitted into Economics yesterday.
Stats:
3.7 CSU GPA (weighted)
30 ACT
1870 SAT

Super excited about getting accepted! Good luck everybody!!

@keenone, my understanding is the system is set up so you only have to pay to send ACT scores to one campus. After doing that, you are supposed to follow the instructions at this link to release the scores to other campuses. If you paid to have scores sent to individual campuses, you might be fine. I would think your portal would let you know if there was missing information at this point.

<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

From the site: If you have listed a CSU campus as an ACT score report recipient, you can use the ACT Scores Manager to release your score to additional campuses. Before you can use the ACT Scores Manager, you must first have arranged for your scores to be sent to a CSU campus.

If you have not yet arranged for your ACT scores to be sent to a CSU campus, you can learn how to request this at <a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>www.actstudent.org/scores/send/index.html.

Good luck everyone. :-B

Did anyone get something on their To-Do list about “partial transcripts”?

Ok, so i put on my application my Sat and act, but i only sent my Sat, is that ok?

When do you think that the second wave of engineering will come out?
