@iluvducks hey so it really depends on what kind of education you want. I know for agriculture, slo and Davis are almost equal but slo is more hands on than Davis is. I think slo gets ignored a lot because UCs have made such a great name for themselves, but slo gets their students more jobs than Davis or any other UCs do
Any in-State Mechanical Engineering acceptances?
m OOS for Software Engineering and havent got a decision yet on my portal, does that mean I most likely got rejected? or is there still a chance??
I agree with @joogman23 that if you haven’t been to our area, you may be surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I love SLO but it definitely is a SLOwer pace than the big cities. No big mall, no big shopping, everything is small shops (which I love but you know sometimes you just want an Anthropologie!). We do have the beach, but it’s not a Southern California beach…the water is COLD! We’ve lived here for 19 years and I rarely go to the beach! But this is definitely the life, so beautiful here and everyone is so friendly. My son is a Poly grad and now my daughter is waiting to hear, though it’s not her first choice, much to my dismay! Good luck everyone!!
@kmwhms I didn’t assume anything. I’m just saying, if people DO NOT know about the programs that Davis offers, they should research them. Thank you for clarifying.
Hey guys! If you just got accepted to Cal Poly SLO and will be attending next fall as a freshman, hop on over to our class page so that you can find out the latest about incoming mustangs https://www.facebook.com/groups/734201263326069/

How does some in Business know so much about Animal Science?
UC Davis isn’t the big city - far from but I did read they bring in more Cal Poly grad students than native students in their Vet School. Do any of you know anything about this?
@Mriggs Your grades and extracurricular activities are more than likely more important than which of the two schools you choose to attend for undergraduate, especially when comparing two excellent schools.
*Looking at the post below, it looks like more applicants are actually admitted from Davis undergraduate.

Anyone heard back for business yet?
@Mriggs I know information about Animal Science because that used to be my major until I switched to Business Administration. It isn’t the big city whatsoever, Davis is a small college town. It’s really fun if you haven’t been there. Most Davis grads find jobs around the bay area though, one section of the bay area where Davis grads are popular is San Francisco, along with Berkeley grads. And I’m not talking specifically for Animal Science majors; all majors for that matter. Any other questions you might have for me?
