**OFFICIAL CAL POLY SLO CLASS of 2019 Regular Decision** Thread

Has any political science major heard back?

@joogman23‌ Have Econ majors heard back?

@joogman23‌ Out of State are evaluated separately from the in state students according to Cal Poly. I do believe they have or are going to increase the number of out of state students, from I believe is now around 15% to 20%. They decide on x number of in state and x number of out of state and foreign. Then go about accepting the students with pools of separate applicants.

Still waiting on in-state CS :neutral_face:
Does anyone know if more decisions will be posted later today?

Instate comp e … Still waiting :frowning:

@HopefullSurfer‌ same… 4.5 GPA and 700M / 690 CR :confused:

@joogman23 Are International applicants accepted/rejected at the same time as OOS, or, have a different timeline? Econ major.

@MLM Nowhere on that page does it say they only use certain tests from the ACT. I know they don’t use writing on the SAT, but it does not say that for the SAT.

@appleface47‌ ya beat me
4.0 CSU GPA
33math
29 English
21+ hours related to major and leadership
I’m stressed :confused: idk how good its looking

Anyone know what the acceptance rate for econ majors is?

@czs1994 I don’t really care and I already knew this.

@dmarush That’s a good question and I have no idea how International applicants are evalutaed. You might want to contact Admissions if you want an answer.

@HopefullSurfer‌ no one else from comp e is posting… hoping maybe it was a fake .__.

@czs1994, A student PM’d me to ask that question. I told him I didn’t know, but admissions could answer. He copied the response email back to me. If you want to know for absolute certain, call.

BTW, completely agree on backup vs. safety. Too many though underestimate the challenge of admission to Poly. It never hurts to have an affordable school with an admission rate above 50% on the list.

@appleface47‌ I think ya got it no question and I hope it means little applicants

For anyone interested in which ACT tests they look at, I personally attended an admissions session at Cal Poly last April, and this question came up in a question/answer session with admissions staff. They very clearly stated that Cal Poly only looks at the first two sections of the ACT when deciding admission. That is the English and Math sections. They also super score, so if you took the ACT more than once, they will use the highest score from either sitting, even if they were different tests.

Anybody in-state hear for college of agriculture yet?
