@ayyemichelle Last year the majors were mostly random. Like on 2/14 there was an architecture and a wine and viticulture acceptance. This means that the majors weren’t all released in one day!

So my story may help you… as a 2012 HS senior, I applied to slo, my top choice & went through what you going through. It was crazy stressful. When I found out that I didn’t get in, I was shocked. I exceeded the criteria& didn’t even have any doubts. I was a perfect match. So I asked my HS counselor to call calpoly admissions to see why i didn’t get in. She called & they told her this…
I got into the university &into the college & was competitive. The issue was that there wasn’t enough spaces in my major to take me, so therefore I was not admitted. They have a competitive pool of applicants. That is how it happened. I didnt see myself as rejected, just that it was a numbers thing.
I applied as a transfer for fall 2014 & got in (which im sure would have been amazing), but ended up getting into USC too, where I am now a junior, & couldn’t be happier. So u may not see it today, but it does all work out the way its meant to.
I applied computer science and my last name starts with V, still no decision. Has anyone gotten in for computer science?

OK posted about my brother this morning but people are asking for last name. So he is W and accepted last night and for Software eng.
I’m posting on behalf of my cousin that got into gen engineering this morning with a 2050 SAT, 4. something gpa, and lots of APS. Last name is W
The things about Cal Poly admissions is that they don’t e-mail you right away and instead you have to check the portal on your own time. This means that people posting their acceptances on these threads don’t necessarily mean they were accepted on the day the posted. For example, if I posted that I was accepted on 2/24 because that was when I checked my portal, I, in theory, could’ve actually been accepted three or four days earlier and just didn’t check the portal until today. Does that make sense? So looking at admissions patterns may be futile considering for CP admissions it just depends on when you physically check the portal yourself as there is not time or exact date given to say when you were truly accepted.

Got in for poly sci. 1210 sat for math and reading and 3.4csu gpa. Maxed out hours for work exp in major and EC’s. Strange things do happen. Best of luck
