Just a note: On my stats on the previous page, I forgot to delete and place what I did in the Essay section (I just copied the template from someone above). My essay was about how Beethoven’s music has influenced me.

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: see above
Where else were you accepted: Amherst, Brown, Columbia in NY, Dartmouth, Grinnell, Macalester, Pomona, Vanderbilt (with full merit scholarship), Williams.
Still waiting on Harvard, Princeton, Yale.

Carleton is my number 1. But… their need aid is way less than some others, and that does matter (not to mention the full ride at Vandy that could be hard to say NO to).

hi everyone,

if you know, did any international student receive a package from the college?
As I know, last year carleton notified students that their packages were sent and that they could track it. If anyinternational student is not contacted by anyone from carleton, does it mean that he/she is rejected? However, there is no email sent yet.

Azer1993 email them and ask them to email you your decision too. As it would take ages for you to receive your decision via snail mail.

waitlisted :/

Me too Titan.
IT HURTS!

It won’t let me edit my post, but I (kgkendall) posted my stats above, and I forgot to add that I am an AP Scholar and placed in the Silver Medal division of the National Spanish Exam my first three years of high school. Also, I got waitlisted at Pitzer today.

Rme123 Are you an international too? If so, how did you find out about your decision?
Btw, I think it’s weekend and no one will respond to my question until monaday. Anyway, thank you for your suggestion.

LOL! I got an answer to my email in a jiffy. Yes I am an international. I sent them that emai. Soon after they told me to check my portal!

Don’t know if it was a response to my email or if it was sent earlier.
Check your portal & if it’s not there send them an email.

yeah, I checked that portal, but nothing has been put on it. Unfortunately, I think I will most likely be rejected or waitlisted, because of requesting a lot of financial aid.

Yeah. I requested for a huge amount of aid too.

@RME123, you emailed them and they told you to look at your status page? the one with all the received documents? Seriously? I don’t see any button with the decision :/

Yes seriously!
There’s a status update hyperlink on my page.

& idk if they sent their email as a reply or if it was meant to be sent to me anyway, but I received that email minutes after I sent the email to them.

There is no hyperlink on my page lol.

Try emailing them I guess.

I don’t have any links with status updates. And when I emailed them earlier this week, they said they will not be emailing people with the decisions earlier than 29-30 March. And if I don’t receive my decision then, I should e-mail them.

The fact that you can and a lot of people can see the decision online just doesn’t speak to me of good things. I had same feeling when I was reading about Smith sending its decisions. And - what do you know? - I was denied.

Crap  I rrrreally liked Carleton.
