<p>Why you think you were accepted/wait listed/denied: Not a legacy. There is definitely a pattern here. To me, that is very sad. </p>
<p>I really feel for Brandon. He is devastated. </p>
<p>I hope he doesn't settle for University of Florida, who has accepted him into their Honors Program. He was also accepted at Vanderbilt and Carnegie Mellon. The last two schools have offered him tons of merit aid. </p>
<p>I'm sure I'm just being a sad & bitter mother here, but I'm not impressed with Notre Dame's waitlisting of Brandon when there are legacies accepted with much lower stats than his. </p>
<p>The message sent is "You're good, but not good enough. Too bad you didn't have a parent who had attended here. You probably would have been accepted." </p>
<p>I'm glad he'll be going to a school which appreciates him.</p>
