I feel like nobody knows what they are taking about. We all just “hear” things and it is freaking everybody out! Chill out guys, the decision is already made and there is nothing we can do about it.

@Stave Affirmative action! Now, how much it helps I’m not really sure. I’m Hispanic.

For some laughs and giggles, you can go to the Columbia or Dartmouth Decision Threads and notice the differences between Whites/Asians and Hispanics/A.A.

@kmizdancer, dorming isn’t mandatory. My sister is a current freshman and she commutes. Of course, it’s pretty difficult, so she’s looking into dorms.

@Mrpresident49 I really think that you should try it! You meet a whole lot of new friends right from day one if you do. You will appreciate that apartment so much more if you have to live in the dorms first! People who have gone through college already all agree that you make most of your friends the first year in the dorm.

@hergie10 hmm I don’t know I’ll think about it, the thing is that I go to International Academy East, and about 20-30 people go there each year anyway so I’ll already know a good amount of people. It’s kinda nice to go to one of the best High Schools in the country :D

I think that when decisions start rolling out we should all put our ACT, GPA, Hook, a little bit of extra info, and whether we got accepted, deferred, or denied. Sound good?

You won’t find a single apartment on campus. They’ve all been taken already…seriously. This is why almost everyone lives in dorms 1st year. May be able to find something off campus, but parking near classes is very limited.
