Lol I’m probably not good enough either… I’m still dreaming though
@ohhayitsme - Doesn’t Northwestern meet 100% demonstrated need? So doesn’t that mean that you can estimate your aid pretty well? Or is that not how it works?

Guys Umich engineering is literally same as UIUC and Purdue. Feel grateful. Top ten engineering schools and your set. You guys should try applying to CalTech for the fun of it LOL. I think you guys have a shot

Hahha I didn’t even apply because u of m is a reach for me. I applied RD for northwestern but idk about that either…

Top 3 Schools: Cornell University, MIT (deferred), and Michigan
Also Applied to Northwestern, UPenn, and SUNY Binghamton

What Highschool you all from? If i am allowed to ask. Are you guys also in state?

@JooHyo - I am applying to Caltech, for the fun of it… And what do you mean, they’re the same? Ranking-wise? I think Umich is entirely different from UIUC in everything except the engineering rank. And in my opinion, Umich is the strongest one of the three overall.

@joohyo that’s what I keep trying to telling myself but I’ve dreamt of u of m for years. Thanks for the support though, I was pretty stoked when I found out about them yesterday. Sorry to hear about uiuc ):

Screw Engineering its all about that Business School HAHAHA - hater here haha

@potatoo you should feel good you got in. UIUC ill most likely get accepted but they **** me off for deferring me so i might aswell go to Rutgers NB business or SAS if i dont get into UMich.

It is kind of a big deal for me to get into Umich cause my sister goes there and we suppose to share that apartment *****.

Also, random question - to those of you who did get into UIUC, do you have any info about the financial aid yet? The main reason I didn’t apply there is because it’s gonna be really expensive, according to other people and their net price calculator. I’m mostly sticking to 100% need-covering schools, because they’re gonna be affordable… Along with Umich, which is comparatively cheap in-state.

I know UIUC is cheap but Umich actually give full coverage of Financial aid cause my sis received 25k per year which most likely i would too if i got in. Youll most likely get full coverage for in state than out of state in which the best case is they pay half of your tution and you pay the rest.

Awe that’s nice youll get to go with your sister! Having family there does give you a little boost! And ivanov, I’m not sure about financial aid at uiuc because my family doesn’t qualify

@potatoo sadly i dont think Umich does not have the family thingy unlike those ivy league or schools that do that whats it called the legacy alumni thing. I know my friend whos brother went and she got deferred sadly.

Well, “cheap” is a very subjective term… I don’t consider UIUC cheap at all. It’s extremely expensive for me, actually. Even $25k is over-the-top, but I’m hoping to bring it get under $15k thanks to grants and scholarships and all that. And that’s still more expensive than any 100% need-covering school.

@ivanov what i meant by cheap is UIUC is cheap in terms of not giving financial aid i did not mean the school is cheap. sorry if you were confused

@joohyo it’s not as big of a deal as the ivy leagues, but they do keep it in mind

Still ****ed about how this moron got in and i did not. Affirmative action at its best. Happen to two of my friends 2 years ago. Now it happened to me cursed. Ohh well. I wonder if anyone from my school applied to UIUC L. I think im the only one. My school is not as great.

Do they have mods in this website they ban? I think ill be banned soon L.

Man i really regretting I did not apply to Uchicago or UCLA( U C lots Asians) or UC berkeley
