<p>Essays:
CommonApp Essay- wrote about a solo concert where my A string (main string on the violin) broke as I was walking on stage, and it was about how I was able to transpose my way through the song without sheet music and without anybody even noticing. I also made it a metaphor to life and the underlying message was about how the best things happen when the knowledge is there but the foundation is removed. It also talked about being in the present but thinking in the future, and I thought it was engaging as it showed my personality, passions, and life goals.
Supplement- Intellectual Engagement. Talked about my experience being homeschooled in middle school and how that made me intellectually engaged in the world. It was humorous yet sophisticated. </p>
<p>Teacher Recommendations: (did not read any)
Math teacher- She wrote me a glowing recommendation. I am considering going into Mathematics.
AP US History teacher- He wrote me a great recommendation; it showed a different side of me
Counselor Rec.: She put together a great recommendation with comments from other teachers, and I feel like she really showed my personality and character in the recommendation
Additional Rec.: Did not have one
Interview: Went super well!! The conversation flowed the whole time, and the student was actually in the Bowdoin Chorus, so it turned out that I had actually performed with her! It was probably my best interview. </p>
