So most colleges that say that we will get our decisions by april 1 will be released around the 15th as well? or just northeastern?
@NewEnglandBound depends on the university, some of mine said april 1st and I’ve already gotten a decision. Some are released earlier and some are closer to april 1st
I’m so nervous. Is it gonna be at 3pm?
Chance me?

From EA, Northeastern decisions are staggered throughout the day depending on where you live. They release them all a couple of states at a time, typically over a period of a few hours at the top of every hour. I believe decisions started at 11 AM or 12 PM EST for EA, continuing on until either 7 or 8 PM EST. So when you hear back depends on where you live.
So exciteddd!!! Only about one week left to hear from Northeastern
For EA last December, decisions started being released at 4 PM Eastern time.
@TomSrOfBoston You’re right! Sorry about that, lol. I’m in California so put down those times and wrote “EST” instead of “PST” on accident.
I’m guessing the 15th, so one week!
On here, everyones saying it comes out on the 15th of March. However, on the Application Status Check, it says April 1st?
It says BY April 1st.
Based on past years decisions should come out 3/15…no guarantees.
Do you think that Engineering is one of the more harder schools to get into? i applied to Engineering Undeclared and I have many strengths in math, but I’m scared that it’ll be harder to get in. kinda regretting it now
The school doesn’t release admit rate by college, but it is claimed that the admit rate for all colleges is the same. The colleges are not themselves involved with acceptances or scholarships - I believe they are with Honors though as that directly affects their curriculum and class sizes for the honors section. I wouldn’t worry - it’s more important that your application reflects your major that you applied as - they will look at your application from that frame of reference.
Chance me please it is my dream school!

@dvl2016 It doesn’t seem likely, I’m sorry. Your GPA and test scores are both low for Northeastern’s average.
But I’m not an admissions officer, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
When can we expect to hear back? Obviously we hear BY April 1st… But is there an earlier date that we might expect a decision?
Hey guys! Just checking in. I was an EA admit to Political Science, and the wait was crazy for me too! Just know that Northeastern is an awesome school, but there are many other awesome schools out there, too. Wishing you all good luck as next Tuesday approaches.
@Mchichioco Please read post #50
does anyone know what time will decisions begin to be released?
@dvl2016 If Northeastern is really your dream school, then don’t give up, even if you don’t get in. If you really want it, you can make it happen. You may need to attend another college for a year and then transfer. I know another student who didn’t get in, but then worked his butt off during his first year of college to ensure that he was accepted as a transfer student.
