@canadian2013 yes!! yay!! need-blind to awesome neighbors!

@Raca, Hope not…

^ & @raca1111 If that’s true - God help me!!

As it is, my chances are low. And the aid factor might just hit the nail in the coffin!! :(

Hey guys! RD applicant here!

Hi! I’m applying RD to CC and have no expectation whatsoever of getting in, but it’s such an amazing school that I thought I’d try!

It’s funny how I’m seeing a lot of you guys on a bunch of other Ivy class of 2017 threads

^ Well if you’re applying to one ivy, then you might as well apply to few others!! :)

Welcome to the group!! As obviously you too are applying to few other Ivies!!

P.S. 5 out of the 6 schools I am applying to are Ivies!! Lol!! Heck, I have high hopes!!

The thing about ivies is one might accept you and one might not. So you might as well try your chances because they’re all great schools!

I wish I could join you guys in anticipation, but I was rejected ED.

Good luck!

That was my plan haha. They’re all reaches for me, I’m applying to 6 of them.

^ I would have applied to 6. The choice was between applying to Brown & Northwestern. After a bit of researching, I applied to Northwestern as it is has a better engineering program and few other perks. And of course, all those essays in the Brown Supplement were irritating!! :)

That said. All the 6 schools (Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Pton, Penn & NU) are high reaches for me!! I also applied to Drexel (free VIP app) & UIUC (last minute decision) but mostly won’t attend, even if I’m accepted as there’s no aid!! They do have decent merit scholarships though!! :)

I started filling out the free VIP drexel app, then realized I could definitely get into a better school that I would rather go to and ditched it.

I applied to 20 schools lolol.
Might as well keep my options open? haha idk

but columbia is still my number 1 school. I would go there in a heart beat

^ Haha!! Sadly I don’t have the patience for that!! Nor the money!! :)

@graysnow - Well I realized that but then all us seniors had a kind of a pact!! Now, 15 of us are applying to Drexel & all are well above or within their 50percentile stats!!
It will be interesting to see how many they accept!! :)

Applying to 9 schools was hard enough for me with all of the essays I had to do. Now that I’m starting to apply for scholarships I have to write even more essays!

I applied to 6 universities, three of the are Ivy (Penn, Columbia, Cornell). I was going to apply to Princeton, but I left myself too little time to complete their application especially as I doubt I had a chance and wasn’t convinced it was really the place for me.

Columbia is probably my second choice (after Penn), but if I were to get in, I would be over the moon and would have to go visit campus/do even more research before choosing whether or not to go. Getting in to any of my universities would be a dream.

I applied to 18…(MIT, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, UPenn, UChicago, and Brown being the impossible ones). I got deferred EA from Harvard so I added a crap ton of safeties! Haha. I’m just happy I’ll never have to write another supplement. Even though some were really fun (Brown, UChicago, MIT).

Applied to 17. 6 Ivies, UChicago, the Little Three, and some safeties.

U chicago, 6 ivies, mit, duke, vandy, georgetown, georgiatech, BU, carnegie mellon, rice, Poly NYU, and a bunch of safeties ha
