not that I know of

Can anyone tell me how they submitted the online form and later mailed the application fee check? It can be done right? Since I dont have a credit card, I have to mail the check but I need to do the online forms since my college deadline is the 1st (postmarked)

SkyGirl, I submitted all of my Tufts info online and mailed the cheque with no problems.

Will colleges read an essay of mine if I put it in the Additional Documents on Common Apps?

that's dangerous. I wouldn't do it.
Try to say what you want to say in the one essay.

It's an essay explaining my volunteer work. I did my Common Apps essay on someone who influenced me, so I never got to talk about what I did for community service.

make it brief and it could be doable, but just be careful.

I guess a resume would be more appropriate rather than another essay?

fluxxi,
In the payment option section, there does not seem to be anything particular for check mailing choice. What did u put in the payment option section?

ya, i think a short resume would be more appropriate, drowniun.
emphasis on short, lol.

Good luck

Ah, I see. Thank you for your help!

Can anyone tell me the difference between "Asian" and "Asian American"? thanx a lot

probably...

"Asian"=any Asian ethnic that doesn't have US citizenship
"Asian American"=any Asian ethnic that has US citizenship
?

I thought the "ethnic group" part was only for US citizens/ permanent residents?

I don't know. I didn't see anything that specifies who should fill that in but I think you can still be Asian without being Asian American if you applied for permanent resident status but didn't get it yet?

OK, I am guessing this has been asked before, but my searches have turned up empty.
On the checkbox "plan to continue in college" next to EC's - if it's an activity specific to my school (Ex: PEAL, which is a school magazine, or an Environmental Club,) but I would be interested in continuing with a SIMILAR type of activity (Ex: another school magazine,) in college -should I check the box? OR is that only for something like a sport where it is what it is?

Thanks!!

Yes, you would check the box if it's similar or the exact same thing. At least, I would.

It crashes?!?!

Ahhh...can anyone from previous years say when this usually occurs? Like just the last hour of Jan. 1 or is it earlier?

can someone send me their resume that they are planning on putting in the additional information section?
thx

^ Umm. Sorry, but why would anyone do that?
