@newberrytiger Socal actually but i love saying that haha
i’m glad you guys found my question helpful.
apparently there was a form you need to fill out “Student Tax Non-Filer Statement 2011.”
i understand the pain…being an immigrant first generation student, it’s tough. a learning process nonetheless :]

@lmj, I am SO with you. Gosh, this is madness!

Hey everyone! I also submitted the CSS profile , but no other forms and i have nothing on my to-do lists. What do i do???
Did they even get my CSS form??? Why didn’t they ask for anything else?
Am i rejected, bcoz its already late november and they didn’t ask for it.
Help!!!
Should i e-mail them regarding this and ask whats pending???

One ore thing = are u guys sure applying as an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT for aid doesn’t reduce our chances of admission at Cornell ED???

Btw, any girls here who applied to Cornell Engineering ED???
Do girls get a little bit advantage in CoE admissions?

Girl applying to engineering!
Hopefully there is an advantage~~

In the past it has seemed that being female is beneficial for engineering. Good luck :)

@katynnmills

Funny, same thing for me, I applied Cornell ED knowing the fact that i could not afford it even if i got accepted and am hoping for an insane fin aid package (even though my parents prob make too much for that) and hoping to pick up 5k in scholarships be4 i start college.

I hope that they accept me at least :)

Hey guys !!!
I just now got an e-mail from cornell’s financial aid office.
They said that they just received my aid application and i am now supposed to submit some other documents.

My question is…
why did they say that they JUST received my spplication.
I submitted it on 31st october.
But, they received it now and want other documents.
SOOOO, does that mean that cornell has accepted me and forwarded my aid application to office of fin. aid???

do u think thats trueeee???
sorry for sounding so excited, but, really , does it mean i am accepted.
Maybe i am over-interpretting, but, cornell is my dream school !!!
I dunno…just tell me what u think guys…

It very well could!

@lifesfun just curious…what college did you apply to and do you have anything on your financial aid “to do” list?

@lifesfun Hmm… What other documents do they want??

@ lifesfun It sounds pretty good.

Does it mean that the admission is nearly done with making decisions?

Eeeep that is absolutely nerve wracking that they’re almost done. I mean I submitted my application around a month before the deadline so I assume that it’s been decided for me already. 14 days, guys, almost less!

AAP is pretty small in comparison to the others, so they’ve probably decided for me as well. Arrrrgh. I can’t stand it! Ah!
The last two months have been too insane for me to handle.

@Newberrytiger Same here:( I know it’s hardly gonna happen but kinda hope the result comes out sooner than Dec. 13…

Hey guys! I just got my first quarter report card grades yesterday, and I’m quite proud of them because they show much improvement from junior year. Does anyone know if Cornell will see them? What if they’ve already made the decision for me…eek! Thanks and good luck to all!!

There is no harm in sending them…I’m assuming that they’ve already decided for the most part, but if they’re still on the fence, a really solid first quarter might push you into the positive end. If they’ve already made an “ultimate” decision, it won’t do anything (I think).

@sciman I’m the same! It’s wayyyy too expensive. I need at least half cut to even think about affording it. But my parents make too much too and we have an extreme amount of assets. I just want in sooo bad.

So they replied and told me to submit them as soon as possible, and they are still accepting financial aid applications. They told me I can submit them online, so I scanned all the forms I needed and submitted them online. Only took 1 hour tops, and now thats off my worries! If you haven’t done it yet I would start now. You can either fax them, submit them online, or mail them.

@AlphaOrionis :- I applied to college of engineering.
And i never had anything in the financial ‘to-do’ lists and even now i dont have anything on them. Dunno why?

@baegopa :- they want my parents tax returns and some other forms as well.

did anyone else get this kind of mail???
