I guess that means that since it tells me there is no financial aid found and not “inquiry access denied” they sent my stuff over to financial aid, who then saw that I wasn’t applying for aid. Hopefully this is a sign that I’ll be admitted on Thursday.

So since it says that your session has timed out when I try to log into the newly admitted student thing on Cornell does it mean I’ve been rejected?

If what I said is true, I think that being need-blind, Cornell forwards all accepted applications to finaid regardless of whether or not they applied for it since admission committees obviously wouldn’t know if the applicant applied.

you can’t log into newstudents.cornell.edu?

I’m talking about the housing thing just to let you guys know

no one else can either

based on threads from last year, a lot of people got in that couldnt access it and some of the people that could access it were rejected. the only person on this thread that can access it did some Cornell thing last summer, which could be an explanation for why he/she can access it.

I got a rec from the Cornell President’s Council for Cornell Women member. Would this make a difference in my chances?

Why are you guys worrying about housing when you haven’t even been admitted yet lol

Class of 2017 is a group of anxious kids … lol Go outside and enjoy your weekend!!

^Agreed. We’re going to be nuts as it is next week!

everyone is freaking me out. legit, there is no way you can figure out if you were admitted or not. Just wait until dec 13th like everyone else

When I called financial aid a week ago about an issue, they told me that they had recieved my CSS profile a week or two before, which leads me to believe that they receive financial aid applications regardless of being accepted/rejected.

five days away!! apush test this week (i switched junior and senior histories)
ANDD physics test this weeek. god i cant even focus. im pretty sure i will be deferred but this is a good distraction.

how much do counsilers influence it? exactly four people go to cornell from my school basically ever year but idk

@AlphaOrionis, what does it say for finaid for you on the website?

Yea I’m so nervous lol, I can’t wait till Thursday. All the other people talking about how they accessed the housing thing scared me, and one guy even said if you can’t access it you probably go rejected. Thursday can’t come fast enough.

where is the housing website?! how do you all find these things

When I click on financial aid it says next to both the 2013 and 2014 sections “inquiry access denied”. Under the account inquiry/pending financial aid it says “no pending financial aid”. I still have things in my To Do list because I am sorting things out with them.

^^ didn’t mean to post that twice
