Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

It is a form letter they send out to all legacies, good for alumni relationship. It doesn’t mean anything.

Are any of you guys applying to the Hotel School?

the guy who did my interview asked me to email him my resume and college essays. i think generally its a good idea to have a resume of some kind so the interviewer can get a feel of your interests

has anyone received a request from Cornell asking them to send in their 1st quarter/term grades? I am wondering when or if they ask for them. Thanks!

WOW 5.13 GPA!!! my WGPA is4.2 and im 15th in class, but my school is uncompetitive. lots of really cool EC AND u work. Ur chances are way better tahn mine.

5.13 gpa and ranked 3/430… How bad is your school’s grade inflation?!

so would we all agree that CALS is the most selective of the schools? anyone have like a list/rank of the Cornell schools in term of most/least selective?

CALS is not the most selective. I believe Cornell’s engineering school is most selective…followed by arts and sciences.

Here’s the most up-to-date data I could find. It’s from fall 2011, so still pretty recent.

http://www.dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000003.pdf</a></p>

Hey y’all. Long-time lurker here, but I just HAD to join this forum.
I applied ED to the College of Human Ecology, and I was wondering if you guys could estimate my chances. Please? Be as harsh as you need to be.

ESSAYS: Okay. My Supplemental was really great, I talked about growing up next to the Brasilian favelas and how it has made me want to pursue public service, etc.

ETHNICITY: Hispanic

STATE: TX

I know my ECs aren’t the best (I’ve dedicated nearly all of my time to Debate) and my SATs are below average, but do y’all think I still have a shot?

Is December 13th the real notification date? I’ve seen it thrown around a little bit.

I’m not sure, I’m sure it’s in the middle of December. Do we find out by mail, or email? If mail, then does that mean they send the mail out on december 13, or we get the mail on december 13? And do they send rejection mail- I know some schools that only send you mail if you get accepted

The results come out on December 13th at 5:00.

You will find out by loggining into to the Online Decision Login:
https://decision.applyyourself.com/?id=cornellu</a>
You will get the pin and password sent to your email a few days before the 13th.

Accepted students will also recieve an official letter in April, I believe, with the Regular Decision applicants.

Good Luck everyone!

5 am eastern?

5pm Eastern

im so scared

We all are–and that’s okay.

I think it’s important for us to realize that the situation is out of our control now, and that worrying is essentially a practice in futility. We’ll end up where we need to be, I’m sure.

Good luck!

It is out of our control but i still cant stop worrying and really HOPE i get an Acceptance letter.

@beat The place where we need to be and the place where we would like to be are sometimes different. I really would like to say they are the same at Cornell but i can’t.

Hope we all get acceptances!!!

Exactly 20days 7hrs and 3mins left lol

Would be fun to list time till decisions are made on posts  Relieve some of the nervous and anxious energy
