Do you guys know when the Act/sat scores have to be sent? And also, do you think I’ll be able to send in October act test and November sat subject test in time?

EDed to CoE! Haven’t received AppID yet. Anyone else EDing from India ?

I haven’t received my AppID and it has been 4 days. Are you all using the Common App or was there another option?

@lillypod yea the informal conversations are what I’m talking about. Sorry for the confusion, but has anyone gotten a call for an alumni meeting?

^Many (including me) haven’t even gotten their App IDs yet…

FWIW, I applied to UChicago last Friday and received my login information today.

@slipshop - I am from India too!

A useful link:

Applicant IDs typically take about 10 days to create, so don’t panic if you applied last week and haven’t received yours yet.

November SAT scores are not guaranteed to arrive at Cornell in time for ED.

Despite the late deadline, there are no plans (as of yet) to postpone the notification date. Four more weeks, everyone. :)

I am from India. Applied to CoE. Applied on 7th nov , but still havent received my applicant id.

I just applied to CAS! I also applied to UMich the Friday before last and just got my ID last week, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Now it’s just the waiting game… ugh.

I think if you rush the SAT/ACT scores from November, they should arrive in time! December scores on the other hand, I’m not so sure…

And oh my gosh, is it really only four more weeks until we find out?! dies

^Yep. Four more weeks, if Cornell sticks to the week of Dec. 9 as notification week. Scary, right?

(Only 3 more school weeks because of Thanksgiving Break. And oh, so many more college essays to write…)

probably will find out on my birthday lol

@slipshod, Hey man, I am from India too and applying to CoE. BTW do any of you know the international acceptance rate to Cornell ED? Or maybe acceptance rate to CoE?

acceptance rate is 16% but idk the international rate

Anyone know how they feel about high school courses taken in the 8th grade? I took Alg 1 and Introductory Physical Science (and was unaware they were high school courses) my GPA would be 2 points higher calculated without them :/

@Brouhahah: The acceptance rate overall is ~16%. For ED, it’s closer to 30% (of course, that’s counting recruited athletes and the legacy advantage, so take that number with a grain of salt).

@VarsitySwim: That’s never been a problem at my school, due to the fact that courses taken in junior high count for high school credit but not for GPA. Nevertheless, I don’t think the Cornell admissions officers are going to think worse of you for going above and beyond as an 8th grader.

Submitted on 7th, just got app ID.

Submitted on the 6th (the 7th, Eastern Time) and just received my applicant ID.

BTW, according to the email, app IDs will expire on 12/12 around noon. Does this mean we have our notification date?

Got my app ID too!

No, I don’t think the activation expiration date has much to do with our notification date. It’s the deadline for activating your account, not accessing it. Our results could still come anytime around mid-December. Anyone know when ED results came out in previous years?
