Hmm, I wouldn’t worry about not having received an Applicant ID quite yet, since their servers are pretty swamped with apps right now. You’ll probably receive your login info in a day or so, keep checking your email!

How’s everyone doing on the rest of their college apps?

I submitted on the 6th and have yet to receive my ID. I applied to CAS, though, and they’re definitely drowning in applications right now. I’ll give them a week, and if I haven’t received anything by next Wednesday, I’ll shoot them an email.

I also haven’t received my applicant ID yet although I applied on Nov 7, so I think it’s just a matter of a couple more days for all of us.
But as someone posted above, I’ve also been wondering how the fee waiver affects the application- of course it’s not supposed to, but well… So does anyone know what it’s like specifically with Cornell?

Not sure of the fee waiver thingy…my application status says Cornell has not yet received the fee which I’m sure I submitted through the Commonapp. Does it take time for Cornell to get the fee (’-’;; )

Btw I’m applying for AAP hehe…yeh I’ve got no hope since I’m an international applicant …The TO is very very very very harsh here in Asia for AAP (only around 9-10% gets in…for E.D…) Anyways, good luck Cornell applicants (^ㅂ’)/

I think biological sciences is more straightforward biology and just the study of science while biology and society studies the relationship between science and society like how society, politics, ethics impact medicine, treatment, etc.

Is anyone else applying to CALS for Environmental Engineering? I’m just curious as to what my competition is. Lol, jk, jk. I know that you can also apply to CoE for Environmental Engineering, but CALS is to my knowledge more fit based for admission than CoE. I’m seriously just sitting here analyzing the numbers wishing I knew the percentage of ED applicants for Environmental Engineering are accepted to CALS. The wait for my rejection letter is going to kill me. >_<

Hi! I submitted my apps from California at 8:54 PM on November 8th, but it says that I submitted my apps on Nov. 9th… Did you have this problem too?

The time is says you submitted your application will be in GMT, but the Common App said to rest assured- that deadlines are enforced at local times.

@ForeverFish
Haha don’t worry yet. I actually called the admissions office on the 7th and they said they were really overloaded with apps. I’m waiting until Wednesday before I check back with them

Does anyone know if Cornell requires an interview for a CALS applicant? My friends applying to other ivies already were called for interviews while none of the Cornell applicants have.
