Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

@thrombocyte if you’re talking about the kind on Facebook, then yes :D

can you send me a link?! I found one but it looks unofficial and it also says for “prospective students”

My son emailed Cornell about the NetID. Only after the deposit is paid will you get an ID. They said they are created in batches so it may take a little while. We paid his deposit a week ago and as far as I know he hasn’t received it yet.

@thrombocyte i think CC censors facebook links so if this doesnt work, just search “Cornell University Class of 2018.” There are two groups.
https://www./groups/cornell2018/

lol don’t worry about the to do list for like another 6 months

As we’re mostly settled and this thread starts to dim, i just wanna wish everyone a happy freshman year at Cornell and hope to see you guys there.

Yess, I cant wait :D

Most of them can be completed in seconds but a few require a few weeks ahead. I procrastinated so much, I had a hold in my first week of classes. I immediately got it done though.

Can’t wait to meet all of you at Cornell!!

Anyone know how we get our Cornell email addresses after we submit our deposit? Or does that come later?

The email comes with your NETID which is what you should seek. Your APPID will most likely be your NETID. For ED students, I think they send you an activation code immediately after RD decisions are released. You can wait for this code in the mail (snailmail which took 2 months to get to my place) or get it by text message activation (which took me less than 5 minutes), this would only work if you put a phone number when you applied else you’ll have to wait. Once its activated, you basically have access to Cornell online resources.

So when will this email come? After RD results are out?

Yeah, has anybody gotten the email with NetID in it?

Yeah after RD Results are out but like I said you need the activation code before you get your NETID and before you even get your email. Your email will be netid@cornell.edu. But you don’t just get an email right up, you have to actually set it up with a series of steps and if you want, you can link it to your personal email.

Has anyone gotten their NetID / or started the check list thing?

^Apparently you did not read the posts right before your post.

Thank you to the people who asked about the NetID, and those who answered the question. I was just going to ask that question as well.
Are there any previous posts talking about AP credits?

Has anyone actually gotten their NetID or heard back from Cornell? I still haven’t gotten anything about my NetID.

We are supposed to get other information first in April, right?

Thanks!

I don’t think that any one has, at least that is what the previous comments seem to say.
Yes, I am pretty sure that more information will come closer to April.

My daughter was accepted ED and she received her NetId few days after April.
