Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

@crowlady - Yes, time till 26th gave me a huge relief when I read it. The people at Cornell must be working so hard right now, specially since the decisions would be out on 12.12.13.

But I checked the self-service site today and they have received the scores and my application has already been forwarded to the admission staff!!

Hope your son’s scores reach in time too.

Hi, what’s the consensus on cornell receiving late info. I sent in the nov. SAT as well and a third teacher rec, but since they might have already reviewed our app, what impact would late info even have? Thanks!

Cornell got my Nov scores because the application status check system now has updated scores (scores from the Nov SAT)… but if Cornell has already reviewed my application since my application was complete even without the Nov SAT scores (I sent my October scores in before the Nov score came out), would the admissions committee look at my application with the new updated Nov scores? or would they disregard the new scores?? I indicated on the Common App that I’ll be taking the Nov test and I’ve only taken the SAT once before Nov (Just the Oct test). My math score increased significantly as well!

I wanted cornell to go look at a newspaper thing I sent and a resume (since there is a fair bit more about my character on my resume), so I’m sending it in. If you send an email to cornell admissions saying to expect something rolling in, that email is put into your file.

[Update for Applying Students | Undergraduate Admissions Office](http://blogs.cornell.edu/admissions/2013/11/22/update-for-applying-students/)

Cornell has received November SAT and SAT Subject Test scores and has added them to application files.

There hasn’t been any update on my application status regarding my Nov. SAT scores? Should I contact Cornell?

No Embargo, read the post on the admissions blog. Sometimes they’re too busy to update the portal.

Agreed, I would wait a couple of days before contacting them, if at all! My second recommender submitted her letter on the day before the deadline, and my portal wasn’t updated to reflect this for five or six days.

It’s about one week from December, guys! How are you all holding up in the waiting game?

I just tried to send an email to admissions, but I almost automatically received an email saying that the email address I entered couldn’t be found. I can’t figure out what the problem is. Anyone have/had a similar experience?

@Coriander23: Re the waiting game, about as well as anyone else. Less than 3 weeks until judgment day, folks.

Has anyone else confirmed that decisions come out on December 12, or was it just that one phone call? Haha waiting is torture…how are you guys doing on your regular apps?

God SO nervous right now. Did Cornell started to review our applications??

@Bubbles888 The Assistant Director of Admissions confirmed it to me that they are planning to release the decisions on 16th December and not on 12th.

How many of u EDers have applied EA elsewhere(list the colleges)?

**^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Post Here : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1581394-cornell-eders-applying-ea-elsewhere.html**

Yeah they’ve started reviewing our applications. Haha I mean, there’s only about three weeks left until decisions come out.

@slipshod when did the assistant director tell you this?

^I’d like to know this as well. In fact, it seems strange that Cornell would be privately disclosing the notification date to applicants when they’ll still be reviewing apps for a few weeks.

I know the Director personally

Anybody up for the TATA Scholarship this year? (Indians?)

You guys, I’m hyperventilating.

3 weeks.

Results come out at 5PM EST. That’s like 3:30AM here. Ouch!
