Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

I’m not really anxious… no reason to be nervous about getting rejected

@kaytea: I won’t be full-out nervous until the morning of…that entire day will be absolutely brutal, not least because it’s the first day of finals week.

Hi, I submitted ED to Cornell and I know the notification date was announced, but I can’t seem to find it on my application status page. Could it be because I still have stuff left on my financial aid to-do list? Because I thought all that was needed was the CSS? If so how do I go about to submit it then? Thank you.

if only Cornell would notify us when we’re still in school. maybe like shortly after lunch time. be in math class and gets notice you’re accepted. go crazy and scream Cornell at top of your lungs. and just leave class like a boss.

youngson026, it is currently on the Cornell website under undergraduate admissions news:
[Early Decision Notification Update | Admissions](http://admissions.cornell.edu/news/early-decision-notification-update-0)

It may or may not any longer be on your login page

Thank you very much. As for the financial aid to-do list, is it still possible to submit it even though it was past the due date? Thank you again.

Yep, I’m on the west coast, ForeverFish! No picturesque winter landscapes here in CA, just chaparral country, haha.

Regarding the notification time, we’re three hours behind EST, which means that I’ll still be at practice when decisions come out. Yikes, it’ll take all my willpower not to pull out my phone and check…

It says I need to submit Parent Prior Year Federal Tax and Student Prior Year Federal Tax on the Financial To-Do List. If I can still submit it, how can i submit it?

@che2018 I’m applying to Hopkins, Duke, Vanderbilt, (which are all tied for my second choice next to Cornell) and some of the other ivies. Also Lehigh for a safety and I’ve already applied early action to Northeastern (hopefully I get some merit money) and UVA.

Oh, and not to mention my good ol’ in-state university, haha.

Of course, none of that will even matter if I get accepted into my beloved Cornell! I just wanna know already.

How about you guys?

@youngson026 for the student prior year federal tax (2012) just fax it to them. best way to do it. usually, they’ll get it the next business day

@youngson026 Submit the documents on this website:

https://www.finaid.cornell.edu/submit-documents</a></p>

Or you can mail them, but you probably won’t get a FA decision for a while if you mail.

will anyone be applying to UC schools? lol am I the only here doing it?

but yeah, other privates are same as epicdude17’s. Duke, Vanderbilt, JHU. i’ll add in Northwestern, Princeton, and Carnegie Mellon. does anyone know other good pre-med schools?

I’ve also applied to Berkeley and L.A. So, yeah, some of us have applied to UC.

Thank you guys for the help. I really appreciate it.

UC’s are too far away and too expensive for me. Otherwise, UCB and UCLA are two of the best schools in the country. They just aren’t a fit for me.

I would apply to Carnegie Mellon but they require an SAT II in Physics or Chemistry, and I didn’t have either AP Physics or AP Chem junior year, I have them both this year.

These ivies man, they’re hard as hell to get into. I know I have the stats but the % of applicants accepted is just crazy. If I don’t get into Cornell I’ll probably also apply to Brown, Penn, and Yale (for the hell of it, haha.) I’m still debating on whether I want to apply to Dartmouth.

WAIT this is the Cornell forum. I’m going to stop talking about other colleges bc I LOVE CORNELL!

Good luck to everyone in their admissions processes!

I just checked my finaid to do list and realized my parents non filing statement is missing. I got email confirmation on the 8th of nov that I submitted it :stuck_out_tongue: now what? Of course I guess I’ll have to resubmit it through the website. But I kinda need a financial statement with my decision (if accepted). :/

@epicdude17 - Hahahaha I’ve applied to Berkeley, UCLA and McGill but I love Cornell the most tooo <3

Also applying to Cal, ucla, ucsd and ucsb here.

In fact, Berkeley is my second choice after Cornell…despite its price.

If I don’t go to Cornell, I guess I’ll stay in Europe because of the finances. I’ve always been jealous of people who can just go wherever they get accepted. Well, life ain’t easy.

Okay, just to make it clear, my dear fellow international applicants: all we have to do for financial aid is to submit the CSS profile with no documentation, as opposed to the US citizens who send all the tax forms etc.? And we do NOT need to send the noncustodial profile yet, right?
Thanks in advance!

@ola1szeptem: Yes all we have to do is to fill out the CSS profile. Though they give financial aid to only a little percent of us(internationals) :/
