Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

dang i haven’t even written a supplement yet

I have a 1600 CR + M and 2500 ish volunteer hours but my 3.7 unweighted GPA is killing me. So screwed.

Just submitted to CAS. Good luck, everyone!

@wiscarol: And to you as well. :)

Just for clarification: Since the ED deadline was pushed back a week, this means that decisions will be coming out around December 20th, right? (Damn…right smack-dab in the middle of midterms week for me…)

Applying ED to AEM :/

Anyone else applying to CALS biological sciences?

Have they released the notification date?

No, not yet. Last year it was December 13th, and the deadline was also delayed for hurricane sandy. So the delay this year shouldn’t set it back (if at all) much farther than that.

It still says “middle of December” on the website. I hate that it is so ambiguous. I won’t be able to do anything else than refreshing my emails between 10th-20th of December :D

I’m hyperventilating just thinking about December admission decisions ahh! Good luck everyone!

The worst thing is that it will either ruin my Christmas or make it the best ever.

Hey does anyone know how long it takes to get an e-mail from Cornell saying that they received your application + giving you your Applicant ID?

It isn’t instant, I think it took like 3 days for me. Call and ask if you are having problems.

@Brouhahah: I know exactly what you mean. What will be worse is if the decision comes out on (Friday), 12/13…

Last year, my friend was accepted to MIT the day before his 18th birthday. Talk about perfect timing.

Haha ForeverFish, I hope that we will be as lucky as your friend :)

So, I’m applying ED to CALS for Environmental Engineering. Not only am I freaking out, but my friends are making it worse by guaranteeing that I’m going to get in. Do they not understand my anxiety?!? Any one else like me and constantly checking previous stats and trying to figure out their percent chance of getting in?
I’m afraid my math score on the SAT is going to kill me. It’s not as high as I’d like it to be. But I’m also not bad at math. They’ll see that in my transcript right?? That I’m taking a freaking actual college calculus I class and I have an A!
Good luck to everyone!

Drummajor2014, I totally understand you! I checked the acceptance rate for woman to engineering, and then acceptance rate of internationals to engineering and of course early acceptance rate to engineering so that I could predict what are my chances.

My reading score is kind of killing me but I hope they will be more tolerant since I am an international… So scared of SAT IIs tomorrow!

It took me around a day or two to get my Applicant ID, keep checking your email if you haven’t received it yet! Warning: You WILL lose brain cells trying to create an “acceptable” password during the account setup process.

I hope we’ll all have something to celebrate come the holidays  Good luck to those of you taking the SAT/SAT II’s tomorrow!!

Is CA creating problems for anyone else? My other recommender and I have been trying to get her letter to show up in the portal for the past few days, but for some reason, it still lists “not started” by her name.

@drummajor2014: I completely understand your anxiety. Just yesterday, I was getting comments like “You have an 80% chance of getting in,” etc. I just try not to think so grandly because I don’t want to get cocky.
