Hi I am new to this thread but I was wondering what the early decision acceptance rate would be for CALS, specifically for Plant Sciences. For a major such as this, would acceptance be more fit based? And if you definitely meet all standards for “fitting” and dont have stellar grades, is acceptance likely?

This week is soooooooooo slow… my friends are getting decisions from brown and Dartmouth this week and I’m just like -_- only 6 days to go

And @hatersgonnahate the decisions are definitely done I think in order for them to give us a decision date shows that they are positive everything is good to go by the 16th including admissions…I’m guessing financial aid might still be going though but who knows?

Haha, congrats on the 1000th post! And it’s okay appplicant, you deserve an honorable mention :P

Less than a week to go, everyone. I’ve spent so long pining for the decision date that I don’t really know what I’ll do once it actually gets here.

GUYS omogmgg I’m so nervous :0

the first word for an acceptance is Congratulations! nerve wrecking uhhhh

It’s crazy that it’s less than a week away. I have a project I’m working after school on that day, and I emailed the people I’m working with to tell them I give no guarantees that I’ll be there past 4! If I get in, I’ll be driving home like a maniac to scream at my family.

and some of us RD chumps will have to wait until the end of March…I might cry. Best of luck to you EDers though!

hate to think that my life depends on the first word of the letter…
it’ll be either Congratulations! or We regret to inform you…

To lighten the mood a little… Favorite extracurricular?

@madmaniabox

Oooh let’s see… FIRST Robotics for sure, followed by volunteering at an animal shelter. Although this wait is still killing me! Good luck to you all!!!

anyone know what the first word of a deferral letter is? haha im intrigued by th point you made collegestress14…that one first word decides so much…

Anyone applying to AAP?

My mom did something really sweet today. She’s in Thailand for a conference and everyone in the group released paper lanterns into the sky last night. She wrote Cornell on hers, as a way to send a message out to the universe on my behalf. It really helped to ease some of my nerves. :)

@GuavaRhee I’m applying for AAP for architecture…what are you applying? Are you an international?

Anyone here applying to CALS for Plant Sciences?

@kazteq
I am an international student from South Korea! Applying for fine art major… Can’t wait till next week! T_T

@GuavaRhee I’m also an international student applying to the AAP but for the BArch program though

With WashU being my close second choice (its just I’m from the NE and I’ve never really visited St. Louis and didnt wanna ED somewhere I had no idea of), and with them already receiving their decisions…I’m starting to think I had a better shot there ED, had I applied there :/

6 days left folks.

@grahamw12 for deferal letter and denial letter : I (as “I on behalf of …”)
For acceptance letter : Congratuations! The selection committee…

TypeRA- you probably did have a better shot EDing at Wash U., as did the rest of us. But that’s why we apples early to Cornell, right? I mean don’t get me wrong, Wash U is a great school… But Cornell’s leaps and bounds better to us, as well as the rest of the world. That’s why we did ED here. So don’t feel nervous, TypeRA, because sometimes, you need a little more patience to get Ivy.
