Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

@che2018 - I think they should be mostly done with their decisions, maybe just some left who are on the fence and they can’t decide whether to put them accepted/deferred/rejected, but I think since there are a little over 3 days left, they should be mostly done

did you guys set your passwords yet for your new portal?

just got into my safety - university of colombia

I’m alternating between feeling confident and hopeless. This is one of the few times I’m gonna be wishing for a weekend to go by faster.

Anyone else having bipolar mood swings? One minute, planning ur celebration and thinking about life in Cornell. And the next, sitting in a corner in the abyss.

^mostly dominated by the latter.

@muhammad9211 i thought i was the only one who does that! you are not alone :)

@stjohnson - you guys, I completely get what you’re going through cause I’m going through it too, I picture opening that portal and seeing CONGRATULATIONS and then I picture opening it and seeing the other two possibilities and I keep trying to prepare myself for it but it just doesn’t work… oh and someone from my school got into Columbia today, he was the only one to Columbia and I am the only one to Cornell

@crowlady, thank you very much. I believe, more than anything, being passionate and doing what you love is exponentially more important than what kind of college you get into. Though, I will take that bit of luck and put it to good use. :)

@che2018, It means a lot that you would say that. I’m so nervous and I’m thankful for everyone (friends, family, and the like) for believing in me. Including you! You’re the best!

Ok guys, this my be irrelevant, but hopefully Beyonce’s new album can get us all the way to MOnday. :)

@Coriander23, feel free to message me anytime if you want to talk about insects. I don’t get enough people that actually wish to, sadly. I have some great books to recommend. I’ll start with a Cornell related one: For Love of Insects by Thomas Eisner. He was a professor at Cornell and a current professor recommended the book to me. Enjoy! It’s a wonderful read.

Does anybody know how financial aid information will be given to those who got accepted? Does it come with the acceptance letter?

just feel that this week is the longest one in my life ever! can’t wait to see the results even though I know it will be a rejection. Brown’s and Duke’s ED results look like the ivy leagues defer almost everyone this year! feel nervous

^ive heard that a preliminary statement is given based on the CSS Profile. However, final will be given after the FAFSA is submitted and processed.

I don’t know whether I should feel happy or scared that the decision date is on my birthday. It can either be the best birthday or it can be ruined by a rejection letter :(

^Happy birthday to you. (In advance) :)

Happy acceptance anyone?

^Will be saying that soon enough!

Hopefully :D

@abrown16 AMEN
