Official Cornell Transfer 2011

I see, if you get attended to other college as transfer student how long do they give to reply back to them if you are going to attend the school.

Does anyone else have X’s on their application status or does everybody else have a check mark for everything on the list?

I know some people already mentioned that they had x’s but I am freaking out since I asked professors/school to send all of those documents at the very least 4 weeks ago.

Also, they received some of my informations on March 2 instead of March 1, because USPS did not work as fast as they should have, does that mean that I am disqualified?

Thank you for your answer :)

You aren’t disqualified if the documents are late, at least the ones that professors were responsible for. You can’t help that. And I think I read somewhere that as long as documents are postmarked by the submission date, March 1, you’re good to go.

@cornelito: I don’t know about the x’s but I am pretty sure they go by postmark date, not when it got there.

@john: You get a month to tell them whether you are going to attend.

Thanks circusfreak91e and minilily :)

Do you think it’s bad that I haven’t sent in my Mid-term report yet? When is the latest date you think we can submit it? :</p>

@Blackbeltbabsz: I gather, from reading the previous discussions, that the admissions people could wait a little longer (by end of this month perhaps?).

For those ILR applicants!
Just had a phone interview with transfer Counselor Ian. Well… I won’t call it an interview since it’s really relaxing and basically just gather up some information and also ask you to provide something you haven’t got a chance to show in your written application. He’s a big help. Don’t need to prepare a lot for it. I honestly don’t think it will hurt or help you that much…
He told me committee wouldnt start looking ur application till they got your midterm report.
I’ve noticed somewhere on the website it mentions that the sooner you send in the midterm report, the better. One of my professor just wrote a comment saying that she hasn’t got a letter grade for me yet but I’m doing well and balblablablabla. That helps too I think.

does anybody’s financial aid documents still show as not received?
i sent all of my finaid materials like 2 weeks ago…are they still processing them?

All my documents have been submitted except for my college transcripts. I think I messed up because I put the two official transcripts from the schools I currently attend in a larger manila envelope and gave that to the person who was filling out my College Official’s Form. I wasn’t sure how to go about that part of the app because the form said that the transcripts had to be with it. Since I go to two different schools and they make me pre-order and pay for transcripts, I thought the person who would fill out my form might not include my transcripts. Ugh. Can someone give any advice? Obviously I’m calling the admissions office tomorrow but if I can’t get through, it makes sense to re-send them, right? They’ll be late but at least Cornell will process them this time around…

So I would waive my right on teh midterm report? That doesn’t make sense as if I go around and ask each professor for my grade I will see the grade, etc? Also what if the professor doesn’t want to give out a grade or has a hard time deciding what grade to give you? Like in accounting where the final grade is based on the performance of all the students and an A might be a 95%? Wouldn’t it be hard to estimate one person’s grade in a situation like that?
Wow this is so much work, still gotta go around and ask my professors for midterm grades.

Did anyone apply to CALS AEM Program?

So did anyone else apply to CoE besides John1234567?

I’m also going for AEM. Good luck for both of us !

@IlPagliaccio I also applied to the CoE for PAM.

@Horse9118: Thanks!! Good luck to you!!

Has anyone received an acceptance/rejection yet? I know we’re expected to find out earliest by mid-April but I’m just curious if anyone has found out anything yet.

Thanks cornellito! Please forgive my ignorance, but what does PAM stand for? is it a special program CoE has? Coming from a state school, I only know majors ending with E for engineering…

@Blackbeltbabsz: ooo… let’s hope that they announce acceptances, but hold on to rejections to reconsider–I might be in that pile!! (T.T)

o wait, they didn’t even pass on my documents to review yet. hehe ^.^
Anyways,
good luck to us all!

PAM stands for Policy Analysis and Management.

Application sent to review committee. Anxiety spike! :-)

I sent my college transcript in electronically on March 1st. I still have my midterms and college official report to be received as well. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m worried because it’s taking a long time for all my stuff to be received.
