@blackbelt, on the self-service website, instead of a checklist, I just have “your materials have been received, your file is forwarded to the review committee…” yeah I really don’t know what is up with the midterm report deal…I know for a fact that they received it this week but they forwarded my file last Friday. Is anybody else having this issue?

Actually I don’t know for certain that they received the midterm report, I just know that they SHOULD receive this week…and I have no way of knowing for sure since they already forwarded that file…

Does anybody know exactly when we start to hear from Cornell? I checked the previous year data and some students who applied to CALS got notified on 4/11. Since the deadline for transfer application was 3/15 last year, it didn’t even take a month to find out admission results. Do you think that Cornell will start to announce admission results pretty soon or still hold on to mid-April?

I was wondering if anyone knows how accommodating CALS is to applicants who have not fulfilled a prerequisite course. I couldn’t take intro biology by any means at my current university (even as a premed) because of AP credit and am currently in my second semester of o-chem as a freshman. Do you guys think this issue should be resolved if I mentioned in my application that if I am admitted, I am completely committed to taking biology over the summer?

Thanks and good luck everyone.

@bonnechance

ILR told me end of April.

@putdateamonmybak- I think if you addressed that in your application that should pretty much cover it, I mean, I wouldn’t call if I were you (at least, not about that). I’ve noticed that Stanford and Cornell seem to be pretty serious about not calling them about application stuff right now, because they’re swamped, whereas other schools, for instance Harvard, say “feel free to call or email or whatever, anytime, anywhere, send us your stuff again if you want, who cares!” Lol, know what I mean? Could be wrong, but I think you’ve addressed it sufficiently and they probably don’t want to be contacted about stuff like that.

But again, I could be wrong. That’s just the impression I got. As far as them admitting you without the prereq fulfilled, I honestly have no idea how accommodating they are…I’m sorry. Hopefully someone else on here will have some insight. I just posted to advise you not to call and ask, as I recently learned that lesson the hard way… ;)

Then again, you could call anonymously and just ask how that department in general reacts to those sorts of things. If you don’t mention your name then you can’t get in trouble for ignoring the “don’t call us, we’ll call you” instructions. Eh?

@bonnechance- The website says transfers get notified on a rolling basis beginning in mid-April, and 4/11 is pretty much mid-April, so we could start getting excited about it around then I would guess. I really doubt it’ll be any sooner than that, so there’s probably no reason to get hopes up in the next couple of weeks, but I think notifications should start coming out somewhere pretty close to that date. Good luck!!

Is there any way the mid-semester report can be waived if our school doesn’t require teachers to release those grades or do any sort of mid-term reports at all?

Hmnn, got an email form Cornell about missing college official report and mid-term report. I alright sent my mid-term report last week but I sent my college official report in mid February. Anyone else having the same problem?

@horse9118
I just got the email today. But the weird thing is that all of my documents have been received mid-Feb according to the online application status. Gotta call them next Monday…

I have the same problem. Need to ask them.

Hope it’s just a system lag…

@kiwilemon: They actually forwarded my application to the review committee today and I still have yet to give them my mid grade report. I sent it everything else though.

I haven’t sent my mid term

@john1234567: “I haven’t sent my mid term” aaaand? what happened? I think at this point not everyone haven’t sent mid term report yet, so did you mean yours too was sent for review??? 'cause all i have left is the mid term as well.

**** Just to let everyone know, Cornell’s voice message says NOT to call about missing app materials, etc., but if you have received an email from them, DO call and just don’t go to the transfer menu- I think you hit “7” to talk to admissions, but I’m not 100% on that, sorry. Anyway, call and talk to an admissions official- I just got mine taken care of, finally. They didn’t even have my app fee showing as “received” and I of course sent that a LOOOONG time ago! But they got it all updated now, which is great, but again, you’re not supposed to call unless you got an email instructing you to contact them (from what I understand). Good luck, all!

Hi guys, I’m also an applicant for transfer. Electrical and Computer Engineering.

IlPagliaccio: i didn’t submit it yet, however, it stated that my application is complete and sent for review??

so should the status online say something like “ur application has been forwarded to the committee upon review” after they’ve received everything from you?

Hello
I applied to Cornell too …
my major: architecture, art and planning

I’m so worried because I got an email saying that
my evaluation letters are still not in- which I sent in January.
Cornell says that if i dont submit them in two weeks, they will
withdrawl my application

anyone having same problem??

^So did you resend them?
