Official Cornell Transfer 2011

xszhang: Nope. Maybe if your an international applicant.

@nihitd No, have you heard from cornell… I haven’t sent my midterm report… I did not take chemistry is it possible for me to call them cornell and tell them i will take it in this summer??

@john : i would suggest you call them/mail them explaining why you havent been able to fulfill the requirements (e.g. in ur case, a chemistry course or submission of midterm report). Cornell Coll. of Engg is one of the most competive for transfer, so make sure your application is complete as soon as possible.

Are you currently enrolled at a school in the US?

Any ILR transfers looking for a roomate?

^If I go, sure.

@ mattmiglio2008, I was admitted in HumEc, so not ILR, and I think I will live on-campus if I can afford it. As a transfer student, I think it would be better to get to know a bunch of people quickly.

For those who already got their admission letter/email/phone call, did you receive your Financial Aid package yet?

@nihitd yes U.S I called them about midterm, the admission told me i can sent it during the last day of april … however, chemistry I will e-mail now about that… if i can take it during summer… have you heard from engineering college about anything?

@cornellaccepted, I totally agree, all the transfers should get to know each other. Hopefully we(transfers) can get a bunch of us, regardless of major, into one of the west campus housing, or dorms.

ok, so can anyone else not log-in to the self-service website to check their app status?

It logged me in after about a minute and a half of loading.

the paged directed me to do this:

Sorry, a problem has occurred.

You do not have permission to view this page (403).
You may contact solutions@cornell.edu for assistance.

I just emailed the problem. Hopefully its not a bad sign which I highly doubt it

It can happen under high volume. Try a different browser or computer?

Another day, another obsessive scan through college confidential. Ahhh. Life is good.

And is it weird that I feel the need to constantly post in order to beat the number of posts USC has on CC? Hmmm. I am a strange character, indeed.

I just found my Cornell acceptance letter in a pile of unopened mail. I was admitted to ILR on Apr. 8. It’s my first choice and I will likely be attending. Stoked beyond belief. Best of luck to the rest of you, we’ll throw a party to celebrate when we get there in the fall.

Another acceptance! Congrats!

nice job… ^if i go, booze is on me for this one guys… its my thanks for keeping me sane through out this haha

@Absurd Congrats!

@Absurd: CONGRATS!!! If you dont mind me asking, what did the letter look like?

@transfer9858: I’m holding you to that offer.

@thebighappyface: The envelope was white and red with the Cornell seal by the return address and it read on the front, to the left of my address, “Congratulations! Welcome to Cornell University”. I might frame this envelope. Inside was a sort of small folder with the Cornell seal on it and a strip of red cloth coming out of it. Inside of that was all of the information and the letter saying, “Congratulations!”

I hope that made sense. I’ve had a lot of champagne tonight to celebrate.
