haha absurd and everyone can hold me to that… and thats awesome i’ve been waiting for my letter… gonna be honest little nervous about ilr… i do well in a normal college but in a place like cornell… where all the kids are smart as anything… idk guys…im gonna get rocked haha

Congratulations! I’m really, really envious but happy for you guys! I hope I get admitted too and good luck! You got accepted for a reason, so remember, you WILL be able to handle the course load, don’t worry, and enjoy your summer! :D

cornellaccepted, what major did you get accepted for in HumanEc?

I received my Cornell acceptance letter through the mail a few days ago for CALS I believe it was Thursday? It’s a white medium sized envelope that reads “Congratulations” on the front.

^Yup. I love the white envelope with the red ribbon. Nice classy touch.

Did anyone else who applied to Humec receive 2 different acceptance letters?

anyone jewish here interested in rooming? i dont care just kosher wise its much easier…

doremi, can you please elaborate on the 2 acceptance letters for Human Ec? When were the acceptance letters dated?

You get a small and a big acceptance letter for HumEc. I received the one with the red ribbon two or three days earlier than the other one.

They essentially say the same thing, and you’ll find the coupon to send w/ $400 to Cornell.

what major did you get accepted into? I’m applying Human Development =P The wait is srsly killing me =(

Waiting for ILR is truely frustrating, and it releases decision unprecedently early this year… Wait Wait Wait.

@furit monkey

I applied to human biology, health & society.
Basically what cornellaccepted said except I recieved the small one first. The first one was dated 4/5 and the second letter was dated 4/7. The smaller letter includes a paper to return within 2 weeks saying that you approve the credit and offer for admision and the larger letter has the $400 deposit form which you are supposed to return within 30 days.

@ doremi

Have you sent the credit approval form? 2 weeks is not a lot, but I have more time since I applied for FA.

I applied for FA as well but I received my award offer last monday so I have till the 25th. I could send it in but I’m considering asking for an extension. Cornell is my top choice and I’m pretty sure I’ll go, but I’m waiting on a couple other colleges because cost is a big factor for me.
Also, I just found out about Cornell’s new policy where they match the FA of ivys. I applied to u penn and so I want to wait for a decision from them just in case I do get in and get a better FA offer.
Anyone else in the same boat?

About two weeks ago I was accepted over phone into the ILR school by Ian Schachner; however, I have yet to receive any mailed information from Cornell since then.

I’ve attributed this to the fact that my financial aid “to do” status wasn’t rendered as complete until early last week, yet I am still nervous that something went horribly wrong.

Has anyone else not received mailed information from their school after being excepted via phone?

Hopefully I am not alone in this situation :(

@DoReMi

I would really like to know how you got your FA package, was it by mail/email/online?

Could this be the week that CALS students hear back? Stay tuned!

what’s ur major?

Hey guys –

A quick question. I submitted my midterm report form at the same time as when I submitted rest of my application thinking I should send it on time. All my professors - despite that most of them didn’t have any grades for me for 2nd semester yet - gave me an approximate grade (because I had all same professors 1st and 2nd semester) based on my last semester grades, which weren’t too bad. But… I’m actually doing a lot better in all my classes, and I feel like the grades that were on my midterm report form don’t reflect on my current status accurately. (e.g. My lowest grade on the midterm report form was B+ for this class, but right now I have a solid A from midterm & paper). Should I bother sending another form in, or calling them to ask… etc. Or is it too late and I would just be better off waiting?

Thanks! :)

What CALS is already coming? What are your guys’ intended majors?
