Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Nowhere!

General Comments: I cannot wait to go to Cornell and have the best time of my life! So many opportunities and people await…WOOOOOO CLASS OF 2015, LETS GO!

Does anyone know how many have been accepted so far?

Judging from what I saw in the profile for the Class of 2014, I think it was around 1100 from about 3400 applications. But I’m not entirely sure. It will be interesting to see the stats for this year when Cornell releases them.

Most of my teachers liked it but my AP Lit teacher was very skeptical of the essay- he said it was really risky and he’s not sure if it’ll work =\ (but it did!! >w<) (it’s one of those essays that might be confusing and that people might not get what’s happening the first time they read it unless they read it slowly xP)
[/li]

[li]Income Bracket: Too high for financial aid
[/li]

Reflection Ya! I got in! <’333 Literally broke down crying after finding out my decision x3 My grades and SAT are pretty good but I was super worried about getting in because I didn’t do any science research nor did I have any major awards, but I guess it’s fine to not have done science research or major awards

[li] Strengths: GPA, SAT score, Difficult classes (mostly honors and AP classes), plays an instrument (zither- gu zheng) that almost no one knows how to? xD maybe unique essay?
[/li]

General Comments: :)

Hey guys, I have recently been accepted into the College of Engineering at Cornell and I also might have a C on my 2nd quarter report card in AP Statistics. Will that get my acceptance into the college of engineering revoked? What are the conditions for revokation?

omg around page 16 I was so nervous reading everyone’s posts, even though I’m applying RD.

For those who’ve applied to ARTS & SCIENCES and go accepted, did you have 3 units of a foreign language???

I got accepted ED into CALS! I’m so excited! I’d love to do the whole “meeting up with the cc students” thing to start making some Cornellian friends! I’ll post my stats tomorrow for all of those who are looking to apply regular decision or in upcoming years.

I JUST made my CC account because this thread got me excited! =D

Decision: Accepted into College of Engineering

Objective:

For supplementary essay, I talked about my passion for math and science, but explained why I’m still applying as undecided (I’m graduating high school a year earlier and I didn’t have enough time to think about my future/major) Personally, I didn’t like my essays just because it was really hard to write ‘undecided’ essay in a week
* Teacher Recommendation: one from my AP Computer Science teacher and other from Math teacher. I’m guessing they were pretty good
* Counselor Rec: Must’ve been good
* Additional Rec: N/A
* Interview: N/A

I’m so happy as I opened my acceptance and financial aid package today and found out that Cornell offered me generous financial aid. See you all in the fall 2011! :D

Letter of acceptance received but nothing for financial aid. When does the financial aid package come?

NO… Are you international?

no, ny resident
