all seniors are given this ridiculous project that we have to work on all year and we can’t graduate if we dont finish it.

Finals end the 14th and then I’m done =) Got my interview this sunday before that, though…but I love Dartmouth so for once I’m not that worried!

January 27th – when midterms end =]

And nice job reviving the thread Grey!

More revival!

Here’s a idea: tell a random anecdote about something in your life?

Once I went to the pet store looking for a fish, and the kindly manager showed me the catfish. I was really excited. They were so itsy-bitsy and cute. He said they’d grow to 3 inches. I bought one, and called him Joey.

Joey had a 2 gallons tank. He grew. I put him in a 20 gallon tank. He grew. I put him in a 60 gallon tank. I love it when pet shop people don’t know what they are talking about. I had a 14" catfish chilling in my tank eating all my other fish, but he was still pretty cute. He’d always come up and om nom nom on my finger’s reflection in the glass. Awh.

He was pretty popular, too- his reputation preceded mine. Once, someone asked me. “Are you the kid with the catfish named Joey?” What a cool lil’ guy. He died when he was three =[. RIP Joey.

Yes, this story is really random and really poorly worded. Oh well, I don’t got to rite gud n e more.

Haha that story is so damn ghetto. I don’t think I can top that.

Hey grey and everyone else! I consider myself really lucky. I still can’t really believe it. To answer the question you asked me grey.

Any ideas where you’d like to room/what classes/clubs?

I have yet to take a look at the dorms but I have heard things of them. Thank you for giving me something else to look into in regards to Dartmouth. I was starting to run low haha Classes…yikes I was looking at this course catalog and there are SO MANY I want to take. I want to be a psychology+biology double major but there are things in philosophy, gov, linguistics, religion, neuroscience, chem, and probably other subjects that interest me. Gahhh It’s going to be so hard to choose.

Clubs I have a bit of a better handle on. I know I’m going to join the fencing club cuz that’s like my life ha. And I’m so going to join their GSX (their GSA) and probably the DOC because I really want to get better at skiing (just learned a couple days ago!!). What are your thoughts on a major? Oh oh oh other question. What did you write your common app essay about??

Did you fillet, batter, and fry said catfish? :P

Waste not, want not.

Haha emachine…it was actually proposed, but he was too gosh darn cute!

For a major, I’m torn between medicine and environmental engineering. I guess right now, I’m better academically suited for pre-med, but I’d personally rather do engineering?

I wrote mine about walking to school every day, and how it has given me a time to reconcile my thoughts etc. How about you?

Grey, your story is awesome. I want a cute catfish too now. X3

1) Dorms - No idea haha. I guess I’ll figure it out if I get accepted.

2) Classes - No idea on specific classes, but I’ll probably be a psychology or neuroscience major.

3) Clubs - I’m in a million clubs in my school and I want to continue them for sure. Some of the ones that I’ll definitely have my eye out for are an animal adovcacy group, an environmental protection/activist group, a community service club and more!

*Also, I’m probably gonna try out for the club tennis team because I like compettion, but I’m not THAT good. Not Division I material =p

Buddaah bum bummmp.

Hahah nicely done.

I’m really not sure about either of the first two-they’d probably be better asked way down the line…but oh well!

As for clubs, I’d really like to continue music (especially a cappella), but it’d be cool to start a band or something. I’d also like to be part of the DOC and some sort of community service group.

I’d probably play random sports here and there, but only with people equally lacking in talent…

Gah! It’s been way too long since I’ve posted here. Sorry guys… with break over I’ve been busy. But I’ll try to be more active!

As far as rooming situation, I’m not really sure. I’m considering doing something with language immersion, and so I might consider one of those houses, but again that’d be something to consider with admission.

Classes? Definitely heavy physics stuff, obviously. Lots of math if I can help it too… throw in some computer science courses, hopefully a language (either German or Japanese… both apppealing!), and maybe a course or two in the arts spectrum like creative writing and I think there are some good options. :)

As far as clubs go, a lot of stuff. I’d like to get in biking, some form of running, maybe a bit of swimming, definitely martial arts and tennis, and probably something on the more academic end too. Also, maybe a goofy club somewhere in there… they’re always fun. Oh, and cooking, if I can get something in there!

Edit: Also, I had a question for you guys… when were you contacted about and interview, and if so, when did you submit your application? I submitted my Dartmouth app in late October and have not been contacted, so I’m a bit concerned… If anyone has any suggestions on what to do or might know why I haven’t been contacted, that would be very much appreciated.

I submitted my app in late October and had my interview in early November. I would call Dartmouth in a couple of weeks and inquire if you could get an interview. But, don’t freak out because some applicants just never get an interview.

Okay, thanks teamfrangela. I was just a bit upset because I was thinking I would increase my chances of getting an interview by submitting early. I’ll give them a call in a week or so to see if I’ll get an interview at all. :(

On another note (one which might hopefully revive this thread), what are your favorite foods, everyone?

Yeah, no interview for me either =[

My favorite food has GOT to be lasagna…I’m Garfield!

cheese, chocolate, spaghetti, red tea (it’s a really smooth african tea that’s great in winter and isn’t bitter at all.), veggie pizzas, california rolls, smoothies.

God, I love food.

i want to be accepted SO bad.
if i do i’ll aim for

Favorite Food: White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese from Panera Bread.

^ Speaking of Panera, their bagels are absolutely amazing. Have any of you had their brown sugar ones?
