just got my email for the interview!

hahahhaha i know who is my interviewer, he is the son of my fav teacher! heheheh

So jealous! Hopefully I’ll be getting my interview soon. I know that the head or the local Dartmouth alumni assoc. has a student at my school…

I hope I get an interview soon! So jeal.

Interview Tomorrow!

Bumping this back up =]. So I have midterms starting next week ergh… I can’t wait for the first half of the school year to be over. How is everyone else doing?

Just turned in my app today, and my interview is tuesday february 9!!! WOOO HOOOOOOO

Haha. So is mine (the interview on the 9th of Feb.), DumbSmartKid

First semester is done, so now I’m going to begin the slide as I wait nervously for April… anyway, my interviewer contacted me and said I should expect the interview to last an hour and a half, which seems interminably long… my other interviews lasted 30-40 minutes and I had thoroughly exhausted my store of prepackaged conversations at the end of them…

So I was thinking today, as my last test of first semester rolled to a close- “what if I don’t get into Dartmouth?”

Even though it was a painful realization, it got me thinking about the future. All of you guys seem not only incredibly smart and articulate, but just great people in general. I know we’ll all end up at some great school, even if we don’t make the cut here.

That being said, how about those other schools? Where else are you applying? Did you get in anywhere already?

Personally, I just got into Penn State UP, and I’m waiting on Cornell, WashU and McGill.
=]

If I don’t get into Dartmouth, I’ll move on. I’m not gonna harp on not getting in somewhere because it is their loss =]

And yeah we’ll all end up going somewhere great. And congrats on Penn State grey!

Good attitude! =]

I will honestly hurt if/when I get rejected…gah I should have done ED…I hope I don’t regret that for years to come ah, can’t do anything about it at this point, anyways…I’m trying to ignore/forget about the whole likely letter thing, I would just be being cruel to myself to get my hopes up for uncertain things like that!

I did my interview a while back, the guy was really nice and he was incredibly knowledgeable about school programs

Wholeheartedly agree with Grey and TF. You guys are -awesome-, and it’s been a pleasure getting to know and talk to you.

Still waiting to hear from places! Hopefully will be hearing from somewhere soon. :)

Ah I would be so sad :(. I love every thing I see and read about Dartmouth…which I’m super annoyed by. I told myself I wouldn’t get emotionally attached to any school in this process and I did!!! :(

Same here, spanglish. Aside from sky-high plane ticket prices, not wanting to get attached was one of the reasons I decided not to visit. But as incredible as Dartmouth (or any of our top choices) sound, our backups and matches probably have great things going for them too. I think I’m going to look into my backups (UCSB, UCSD) and find things to love about them. The environment at the UCs is completely different (20k undergraduates!!! :O), but there’s a good chance I’ll end up at one of them, and when it comes down to decision-making time, I don’t want to feel as if I’m settling.

I definitely agree with you, Keilinger! It’s great to have a dream school, but it’s also great to have somewhere else you’d also be HAPPY with!

Ooh! I got my interview!

I wish I had that option, all of the schools I would really like to go to aren’t safeties by any means! haha

And I’m jealous of you getting an interview!!

Aw, it’ll come soon enough!

You’ll be so excited when you get in! Im a Dartmouth '14 from ED, and the letter is still posted on my fridge. Good luck all! :)
