how is it anticipation?

@Woandering oh that was the question? There’s so many questions that i’m mixing them up…

Also, a few pages back, they were discussing the “cook placing” writing question. I put that as the error since it needs to be “to place”. This website uses an infinitive after “require”: <a href=“TO-infinitive or gerund: NEED, REQUIRE, WANT | Grammaring”>http://www.grammaring.com/to-infinitive-or-gerund-need-require-want

We should got to the november 13 one lol.It is probably better than google docs

anticipation doesnt describe the situation well, but its the most accurate one in my opinion

@prospect123 At the beginning of the paragraph, it states the mood or something… (and generally, you look forwards to your birthday, right?) Just like how parades are very exciting

the blockbuster passages, what did u guys get for this q: What author of passage 2 would say - fundamentally wronged or reasonable?

@medicsz you are extrapolating. You can’t assume that she was looking forward to her birthday. It could be that she hates her birthday. Those two parts are definately NOT connected meaning that it was clarifying the setting. ^Disprove this and I will believe it had to do with emotions

@APsooof please be right, i put that but was convinced it was wrong after everyone got attitude

@canunot what question exactly are you referring to?

@APScholar18 um it was like what would the author of passage 2 say about the fact that executives wanted blockbusters in passage 1? (that wording is totally wrong) logically reasonable, fundamentally wrong were 2 answer choices i remember

I’m pretty sure the passage opened with her saying it was going to be a great day or something like that. That’s why I put anticipation.

I put reasonable because he did say that the producers did “try.” But idk I was stuck between those two. Fundamentally wrong seemed too extreme.

@APsooof
I make it a habit not to read the entire passage before answering questions. The first paragraph had images such as the sun ‘just about’ to pour light all over the world.All this ‘about to burst’ feeling gives off the tone of anticipation. The birthday only confirmed my choice.

@medicsz, I got down to the “anticipation” and “clarify the setting” answer choices, but the first para makes it seem as though she was looking forward to her birthday.

@canunot im pretty sure of it. I have a link to the passage itself. It doesn’t make sense to say it was emotion.

@Jellybae ok cool i put reasonable but the nov 2013 said fundamentally wrong so i wasnt sure

Can someone pm the link for the SATurday canned DRIVE

I’m really anxious to see the results for this, because I definitely thought it was easier than the other two SATs I’ve taken but I don’t want to jinx it

@Woandering I agree that it is anticipation. I’m arguing that the answer to the birthday part was to clarify the setting. The beginning def talked a lot about what was going on.

@APsooof
Oh, pretty sure that one is to bring reader back to the present or somtehing

What was the “scope” question?
