***Official Dec 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@fireonice‌
I don’t think so (regarding asking CB), because PSAT scores take unusually long to give out, whereas SAT scores are likely given out ASAP. By this time, PSAT scores are ready, but they take time because of NMS.

IDK about you guys, but imo that was the easiest SAT math I’ve ever done. Literally all of the questions were trivial.

I do have a question on the writing - I got the “passion” prompt. I only had two examples but they filled the two pages and then some - I ended up not being able to fit my conclusion in the two pages! It was like in the tiny margin between the border and the lines to write on - will this affect the ability of the readers to read the essays?

But people don’t really need to take the opportunity to self-advance their interests. But with all the company names and the tossing of chips and stuff, I see how that answers probably works better.
@Woandering I forgot what did you put for the setting/attitude question?

@fireonice‌

Not sure which question that is. I’m guessing it may be the one about the first paragraph of the birthday passage? If so, I put (mindblank) the word meaning looking forward to…sorry so tired, forgot the actual word. starts with a. lol

Wait I saw that there was an apparent answer of 4 on the grid ins. Which question is it?

@ashgabat‌
Sounds like the readers might have a tough time, but if they’re not too grumpy, they’ll read it anyway. However, I would worry for the Organization part of your score (regarding paragraphs and transitions). If you wrote a great essay, though, that won’t impact your score.

EDIT: If you’re on the edge between a 5 and 6 (for one reader) it’ll become a 5. If it’s so good, it’s a 6, it will stay a 6.

@Woandering no that was the anticipation question. The question is something along the lines of how the line “Today was May blah, it was Alice’s birthday” contribute to the passage. It was either 1) it clarified the setting (b/c date and reveals it’s her birthday or 2) explains Alice’s attitude described in the first paragraph (where she was all anticipation-y and excited).

what were the three no errors in the writing section? i got two:

 • some photography hazy day thing
 • essential to sentence

@running1998 My mistake, I thought one of the MCs was a grid in. 4 was actually for a MC. Ignore that; we’re still missing the extra grid in no one remembers.

@Woandering‌ You know my penchant for only using two examples xD
I wrote two huge long paragraphs about college apps and civil rights, hopefully that will be enough for them. I actually had three examples but ran out of space xD

@running1998‌ I remember getting such an answer, don’t remember the questions at all though :/

@woandering you scared the hella of me

@ashgabat‌

Once you have the two pages, it’s all about quality. If most of those two paragraphs was analysis rather than the ‘story,’ then you’re fine. One of my most common mistakes is taking up time and space writing the story, which always includes too much useless info.

@Woandering‌ THANK GOODNESS. just curious now what was the question? Where the answer was 4

@wowowowsa‌
Sorry!

Yeah its Vaccine A ONLY + Vaccine B ONLY - Both= Answer

Btw do PSAT scores come out this week?

@running1998‌

That was the graph of f(x), and the question asks for number of x-intercepts for f(x)-1.

@Woandering‌ Hm. I don’t remember exactly what I wrote but I hope that’s how they interpret it. Thanks.

Edit: @running1998‌ right. That was it.

@APScholar18‌

Sometime soon anyway, but I don’t think it’s this week. I could easily be wrong though. I’m not following PSAT since I didn’t take it.
