Now I'm just afraid for myself. I got waitlisted from 6 colleges and rejected from 2 (including Wellesley). I didn't think I was THAT bad....but okay. (I'm still waiting for two more.... Williams and JHU. YEAH RIGHT if I get into them after everyone else told me to go away) hehe

wolfstarslasher- lol hahaha i'll ask them to look for "wolfstarslasher" on CC :) so yup i finished the letter and i'm just gonna spend the next few days probably editing and then SIGH, out goes the envelope!

Wolfstar, waiting lists are not ranked. They can pluck anyone out of the list, for any of a huge number of reasons. Sometimes it's to get the missing clarinet player for the orchestra or goalie for the soccer team; other times it's to just shut up the person who makes a whining phone call every day for 11 weeks. Other times it can be just to fill in a missing slot with someone who was so close. You just don't know.

I got in!!! Woo hoo!!! Are you guys going to the spring open campus? I'm pretty sure that I'm going. The school offered to pay for my airfare from California (whew). I'm also participating in the ALANA program during the third day. Anyone else?

Well Congratulations to all of those who were admitted. I can't wait to meet you all if we choose to attend the school.

To those who were rejected or waitlisted...Don't get down on yourselves. You're all amazing people. I'm absolutely certain that you'll be admitted to the colleges of your dreams and feel so great when you visit them. Remember that you deserve the best.

ALANA is an acronym for Asian, Latino..well, Latina in Wellesley's case, African American, and Native American. I'm not too sure what is unique about Wellesley's ALANA program in comparision to other ALANA programs, but if I get accepted, I really hope that I get that free airfare thing that you got browninc2.

Congrats again to everybody who got in, and I absolutely agree with what browninc2 said earlier. Everybody here will go on to be successful in whatever way she defines success to be, so good luck girls with everything!

I was accepted ED and will definately be at the Open Campus! So excited to meet future classmates! Congrats to all who got in and to those who didn't-seriously wellesley's loss: good luck with everything!

anyone-- does the open campus thing pay for all transportation costs? airfare there AND BACK? cuz the flyer thing for it said at the top "we fly you here" ... does that mean we need to pay for our flights back home? they need to be more clear on that..
