Official Decisions Thread

lol i thought that was me for a second.. my name is christina too

I can't go to the open campus - let me know how it is.

I got in!!
They're giving me $40,000 scholarship a year! I didn't know Wellesley was so generous!

WELL dooonnneeneee LINGGG so proud :) woootttt
goooooooooo u!!

Did any students who applied ED and were deferred hear?

yeh girl from my school got deferred ed then rejected rd

I thought Wellesley gave only finaid, not scholarships?

wolfstar - thought so too. i'm pretty sure that they give out money according to demonstrated need.

Yeah, only money for need. I assume she means she got $40,000 in grants, which is wonderful.

Wow, well, I was off by 1 day on my guess about when I would receive my decision. :-)

I've been accepted and I am so excited! Wellelsey has grown to be one of my top choices and I am now 99% certain that I will be there next fall due to the AWESOME financial aid that they gave me. I love you Wellesley for being so generous!

Wow, I'm stoked... I'm on this high right now, haha. I think most of it is because I know where I'll be going for college now. Oh man, what a relief...

My twin sister and I were both accepted! I'm so excited! I never expected us to get in-terrible SATs. I always thought Notre Dame was my dream school, but since getting in Wellesley, I'm not so sure (should be hearing from ND this week...I don't even know if I've gotten in.) What do you think.. Wellesley or Notre Dame (that is if I get in)??? :)

Deferred, denied, disinterested 1370 SAT

Cool, you're a twin? That's awesome that you both were accepted!

I don't know...ND and Wellesley are completely different schools. I got into Boston College, which I think is similar to ND and used to be my #1 school, but now I am very partial to Wellesley. Financial aid was an issue, but I guess my advice to you is to wait until you hear from ND and receive your financial aid from both schools (well, if aid is going to be a factor) and then let us know. Also, if you can, try to visit both schools and see which one "feels" better. Make sure to keep us posted and congrats to the both of you!

My dd has not received anything yet (in Minnesota). I am assuming that this is not a good thing....

I visited ND over the summer....amazing...I loved it! I think we'll probably visit Wellesley sometime before we enroll, hopefully soon, but from what I've read about the school, it seems like my sister and I would fit right in. Though I felt that way about ND, too... Both schools seem to have the whole college experience thing going for them, and that's what I like. I want a place that's more than just the academics. Where do you think the better opportunities would be? I mean, being so close to Boston, Wellesley seems like the prime location. I'm looking into an English major, maybe art and architecture. My sister is into the communications/theatre bit. Well, I haven't even gotten into ND yet, and haven't seen either finaid packages, yet, so I guess we'll see. Anyway, congrats other acceptees!

Anon220 - Wow! You'll take up the offer then, won't you? Man, that's really something...congrats!

pinke123 - whoa, haha. Neat. Then again, the pair of twins at my school are determined to get as far away from each other as possible....;)

wow that's so cool. both twins going to wellesley eh?
didnt u want to go somewhere different to ur twin.. after all uve been together all ur lives..

congrats neway!

lol That's crazy how everyone thinks twins want to get away from each other! We don't want to have to separate actually. Though I know lots of twins who do.. weird huh?

weird? no. awesome? yea.

identical :D?

pink123-are you THE twins? the twins mentioned in the ED acceptance letter?
