i got accepted. yah! i kind of want to go there. hope my dad won't be too against the girlonly thing.

i feel lucky hehehe... 570v 720m sat and i got in ha! didn't think i stood a chance. wrote my essay last minute too.

Wellesley said they are sending my daughter her ALANA invitation tomorrow, but I am trying to change her airline ticket for SOC to add an extra day. Can someone tell me the date and time the program starts and ends. Thanks!

ALANA Program

Thursday, April 21
11:00 AM- Registration Green Hall (for those who did not register on Wed.)
....

Friday, April 22
8:30 AM- Breakfast
9:00 AM- Campus Tours
9:30 AM- Departure

Would anyone possibly go to both open campus & ALANA?

I was thinking of going to both mostly so that my parents can't make me go to school on Friday, :-). But seriously, I might go... maybe. Does anybody know what the differences would be?

I think one should go to both because they are different. The longer SOC program is a broad introduction to wellesley, while the shorter ALANA program is more focussed on issues of diversity. If you are coming from far away, by doing both you also get to spend 2 nights at the school, and get a much better flavor for things, I imagine.

Cool, thanks for the suggestion triskeliongirl! It does make sense to stay for both now that I think about it.
