I have never commented on this discussion before, however, I have read all of what people have said here and got encouraged and discouraged. I’m in same boat as everyone else with 3.5 GPA and a 32 on ACT I don’t know what my chances of getting in will be but I am so scared :(…

Hi, I’ve never posted on here but I was recently told that I had to accept a position on the waitlist even though I was only deferred I couldn’t find anything about that though and I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something

Can someone please reply with a link where people were saying they got accepted the second week of February?? I tried looking but there were no clear posts about when people were accepted in Feb after deferral. Thank you!!

i just spoke to admissions rep and they said “As far as I know, no decisions have gone out.” (today)

we all got nervous for nothing… lol

i don’t think we’ll be hearing today, unfortunately

Berry321 - You were deferred in Dec and now have already been told that you have to accept a wait list spot? When were you informed of this?

Do you think it was your mid-year report? Would you mind sharing your stats?

Thanks, and all the best with Michigan!

No sorry, I was told by someone not affiliated with U of M that in order to be considered for deferral I had to accept a position on the wait list. That being deferred and wait listed was the same thing but I’m pretty sure they’re wrong

Deferral and waitlist are completely different

Ok thanks, that’s what I thought but I wanted to make sure I didn’t have to accept anything to be considered, even though it would be pretty late to do it now

yeah, being deferred means that they will re-review your application.
wait-listed means that they’re done looking over your application and will give you a spot if there is any opening.

Do you know what’s pathetic? (Me!) Checking Wolverine Access at 10:00pm and then again at 7:00am. As if little Admittance fairies sneak in overnight and update your status. :p

I feel like it’s a little late to ask this… but what do you think my chances of being accepted into UofM?

@villageMom
you’re not the only one haha I’ve been checking my e-mail every 5 minutes and couldn’t get any sleep last night :P

I so understand the anxiousness you all are feeling and hope you get good news sooner rather than later!

Imagine checking Wolverine Access every Friday night, reading acceptances from many others…and doing this every week in February and March. That was our life last year at this time. Don’t wish that on anyone, but it made the acceptance notice on the last Friday night in March all the sweeter. Good luck to all.

I know of someone who got into the drama and theater school yesterday.

doesn’t seem like anyone got any decisions today. they might be released tomorrow, because last year people were accepted on feb 11, which was a saturday.

faiintx, do you know what time they were accepted? like morning, night, etc.?

nope, I think it was before night though. I was just looking at last year’s decisions thread, and people posted on 2/11 evening.

well, then let’s hope that tomorrow’s the day! i’m really tired of worrying about this but at the same time i’d rather worry about it than know that i didn’t get accepted. :
