Me too JRswish!

Lehigh would be probably be my next choice but I haven’t gotten in yet so as of now either Case Western or Northeastern

i’m already sure that i’m going to UT austin! just curious to see if i can make michigan even though i can’t go there :(

heyy faiintx dont give up hope. who knows maybe ur parents tell u one day before the enrollment deadline that u can go to michigan or sth.

doubt it, lol, but i hope you make it! what school did you apply to?

@brookemaya can you post an image of what you found? I don’t see anything on the homepage.

Ahh I am getting so nervous. I can’t believe that I could possibly know in 24 hours

Have any of you tried to email/contact your admissions counselor? I emailed the Illinois representative in December but got no response. I called admissions last week and was told to send another email just to confirm my counselor got my info, but it’s been a week and he hasn’t responded to the follow up email. The office said counselors usually respond within 48 hours, so I don’t know what to do now. I want to make sure Michigan recieves the updated information I sent, but I don’t want to overload my counselor with emails. What would you guys suggest I do now?

I don’t feel comfortable posting a picture since I told them I wouldn’t but I am 100% a select group of applicants will be released. This group is probably the next best of applicants and every one will find out April 1 acceptance/rejection.

I guarantee 100% a select group will know tomorrow?

The question mark is a typo it is 100% tomorrow for a select group!

Faithlovehope-- the same thing happened to me with the email to my admissions contact I think they are just getting a ton of mail and don’t have time to reply back to everyone but are putting it in our files, at least I really hope.

I’m not sure what you mean by this, as your wording is unclear, but (as previously stated) my GC received an email saying decisions would be released tomorrow and had more information. I don’t remember exactly, but the admissions officer said something about a decently large portion of rejections coming out tomorrow. The officer said they had yet to review ~6,000 applications. My GC interpreted the letter as they will admit the top applicants, deny the bottom applicants, and make few decisions on the ones in between. The reason for doing this is the admissions people want to wait until they review the remaining 6,000 applicants to get a better picture of the full applicant pool, and then make decisions on the in between applicants. I’m not positive that this is what admissions is doing, but it’s a credible theory.

^ My GC also got the same email and she showed it to me. It basically says what dfree124 said. Its true! The first batch will find out tomorrow!

I know some more admissions will be given tomorrow but I do not know about rejections.

Yeah, they have to see entire POOL (or as much as they can) to have a genuine idea of what “high” and “low” is for this year. That’s completely credible, even if it takes a frustratingly long amount of time. At least they are being thorough!

I’m pretty darn certain we’ll start hearing stuff tomorrow. Knowing College Confidential, I’m sure at least a FEW of us will be walking away happy with acceptance emails. As for the rest of us, well, either we’ll sit and weep a little bit or keep on waiting depending on what happens this weekend.

Again, we wait. Good luck to everyone, hope for the best & expect the worst.

Personally, as what I would say is a middle candidate (32 ACT, 1460 SAT with perfect CR, 3.5 GPA in-state, if I was OOS I’d be in deep water), I don’t think I’ll hear tomorrow, and that’s maybe a good thing.

how can you guarantee it?

I guess I’m sort of “middle” as well. My ACT score was a 31 (should be a 33, there was an error with the answer processing with my second test which I later discovered and explained to them), 1920 SAT, 3.6something GPA, instate, minority, etc. I’m no Valedictorian, but I’m sure I’m alright at least.

Do you guys think they’re doing it by WHEN they received it too?

I should be a pretty good candidate. ACT: 35, GPA: 4.0, out of state, Asian in Engineering, and I sent my stuff in in October. (not deffered, just… moved to regular decision) Do they just tell the people who are the top candidates or do they go by who sent it in first? Either way. I REALLY want my decision tomorrow.
