*Official EA Thread Class of 2016*

Congrats Alyea821!! :)

2150 670 math 770 cr 710 writing decent extra curricula’s 3.4 unweighted lot of ap/ honors …but a lot of people with similar stats are getting differed I’m worried about my chances

I haven’t heard back yet, my chances of getting into NEU on parchment is 92% and my chances on cappex are solid…I really dont think I’m getting in =/

So…more decisions at 4 PM too?

Congrats alyea!

Any other success stories yet?

1950 SAT (660M, 660R, 630W). Lots of AP Clases, good extra curricular. and i dont know how the 4.0 scale works but i think i have like a 4.0 or 3.9
International student. Im getting really scared because I thought I was safe due People who got accepted previous years. You guys are make me nervous

awesome I’m definitely getting deferred( if I don’t get rejected. Great…i got deferred to Tulane a few days ago… Eric I know what you mean about the seniroitits it’s such a bummer. Also I’m in hawaii so I’m going to be the last one to find out. I wish for once I could just be the one that gets to be super happy about getting in somewhere u know, all the schools ive gotten into so far have been backups. Don’t get me wrong I’m really happy for all of u that got it!

I’ll be deferred at best. Great! And i really love northeastern…I knew it was competitive, but I never expected it to be anything like this.

Naviance lies… “Average Accepted Early: 1282 /1600, 1900/2400 and 3.61/5.0”…

@Jacobs808, same here! I wanna be happy! And I wanted to be the first one in my school to be accepted to somewhere well known and great of a school over my intercom, but unfortunately that isn’t happening tomorrow. Also, I have another friend, so well-rounded and is ranked 4th or something in my class; has over a 4.0… and got deferred also.

OH well, and again, good luck to the rest!

Anyone know if NEU is need-blind or not?

I still cant login to the northeastern portal thing. Is that a bad sign considering I’m from MA?

Wait- someone ranked 4th and that has over a 4.0 got deferred? Then who the heck CAN get accepted? I thought I had a decent shot before…not anymore.

i guess that it might be because they are focusing on the other part such as ec’s and leadership anyone agree/disagree?

For those of you deferred, just remember that there is something about you that still interests them, otherwise you would have been rejected.

^^^
Wow, that’s crazy. I didn’t realize it was so competitive.

Wnsirlord, always take anything Naviance says with a grain of salt. As an example, its graph told me that nobody from my school had been accepted to Tufts in the last five years with a GPA below 91, but my good friend was accepted to Tufts last year with a GPA around 87. It’s just not always accurate.

Yup… well maybe not 4th, but he is in single digits at my school, and my class is actually really smart. So many of us are in AP classes. Our teachers are so hard, but so great too. But Sop, honestly, you really can’t know for sure. Don’t worry, just wait it out and see. Good luck!

@laurenn123 Really? That’s odd. Maybe they aren’t finished sending out to MA yet, or you are typing your info in wrong. lol. I don’t know.

Also, it depends on which school you are applying too, they only have so many spots for each school.

@westie22 good point. With that being said…anyone hear back for business yet?
