*Official EA Thread Class of 2016*

Good luck to everyone! If it’s helpful to anyone, I got the email a whole half hour after I could see my actual decision. Lauren, maybe they change the times depending on where you are in MA too? I live fairly close to NEU, around 30 minutes away

I’m thinking that they may also be Tufts Syndroming a lot of people. Kids with 3.9 and 4.0 UW GPA’s shouldn’t be getting deferred. I’m definitely getting deferred…unless I just luck out and look appealing in other ways besides my GPA. My GPA is awful.

Is anyone else applying for English?

And Parhaitiy, what’s your GPA?

^^^
Yeah, pharmacy is really hard to get into but something like history would be easier.
Is it possible, after getting deferred, to change the school you are applying into?

Eric, I don’t know! I’m 100% sure I typed it in correctly! The suspense is killing me! It just keeps saying you will get an email. I hope that isn’t bad :(

Does anyone know if the econ/social sciences proram is difficult to get into?

Did anyone from the Northeast (specifically from CT) hear back yet?

Lauren- did you check the portal in case?

Yeah, I’ve checked everything! This is really frustrating!

sop, I’m CT too, still unable to login to the portal.

jeejnc, same here!

I’m from MA and still nothing.

Passing the time by starting a new Pokemon FireRed game. Who should I pick as my starter?

So two questions come to mind:

 1. How many people do they accept early?
 2. Do most of the stronger applicants that get deferred get accepted in regular?

@ jeejnc CHARMANDER FTW

4PM…anyone else hearing back now?

Just my gut reaction. I read on earlier threads that NE basically over-enrolled last year’s class. Maybe they are just being cautious on their EA admits to give themselves more wiggle room later on with regular and deferred admits. Also some of you that are being deferred with pretty solid stats that fall into last year’s common data set need to keep in mind that the last admits will probably set the 25% tier. Many of the deferred students later admitted will probably be in the middle tier 25%-75%.

^Sweet, maybe I’m the 25% tier…rofl.

I also would believe that being from the immediate Boston area could work against you…

Deferred. :(
