Thread to talk about/discuss results from this year’s early action applications to Loyola MD.
Just got an invite from admissions to the Loyola Maryland vs American basketball game. Good sign?
Last year they sent out emails to those who were accepted on the 13th. 7 days… :-S Best of luck everyone!
got the same bball thing, not sure if it was sent to everyone tho!! good luck!
Do they release decisions online or in the mail?
I believe it’s through the mail.
Yep it’s through the mail and loyola admissions says it will be mailed the 15th at the latest
I had this thread created but alright then. The information is in the thread below.
Did anyone else get that email today? About first year and Messina
Yes! I did too and was wondering if everyone got it or it was an accident sent to accepted students
I also got that email and wondering same thing.
Yeah did anyone not get the email?
I feel like it would be hard to admit not getting the email. But the way the email was phrased, it seemed like it was meant for accepted students, but then I remembered that it probably got sent to regular admission students as well. That would make the coming months still before they heard back.
My daughter received the email as well, applied EA and still waiting…
I received the email as well…hope its a good sign! Does any one know if they send merit scholarship information with acceptance letters?
Yep, they say you find out Feb 15 but every year they are in the acceptance letters!
Phew! Thought I didn’t get it, but I just checked and I did! It definitely seems like it was sent to accepted students… I’ll check with my other friends who applied and let you know if they got it as well.
Friend who applied RD did not receive the email.
what did the email say?
Dear Joan,
As you continue in the admission process with Loyola, we want to provide you with information about Messina, our universal first-year program. In an effort to support the transition to college life and learning, all students enrolled in the Class of 2019 will participate in Messina.
Messina features:
Two linked, first-year seminar courses—one in the fall and one in the spring—connected by a common theme. One course will be taught by your core advisor.
Out-of-class experiences, events, performances, and excursions designed to extend classroom learning, build stronger communities around learning, and establish deeper relationships with faculty, administrators, and fellow students.
A chance to live in proximity to—but not necessarily in the same room or on the same floor with—other students in your Messina courses. Commuting students will have access to the residence halls so they can spend more time with their Messina classmates.
We will send additional information about Messina registration, themes and course pairings, and housing information in the coming months.
Sincerely,
The Undergraduate Admission Office
