Accept!

Now to see if we can pay for it…

ok this is ricefan’s daughter, the applicant to Rice who loves and adores that school and Houston. so i’m kind of freaking out majorly right now, the application status says “admit.” That’s how everyone else who found out they were accepted recognized it right?

My son got admitted - Thanks

My Brother from a another mother just got accepted!!! congrats to everyone else. we come from hicktown, texas so its really good news for us other applicants to good schools too, lol.

To those who were denied: I know that you all are GREAT candidates and it’s truly Rice’s loss but another great school’s gain!

To those who were deferred: I hope that the admissions officers reevaluate your applications and find you to be a perfect fit for Rice. If/when so, I’ll see you in the fall of 2010!

Please help
I am writing to you from Europe. My son has applied to Rice.He is at boarding school in US. But I can not get a hold of him.
I know it is a silly question -but how I can check his status?? Any idea?

Questionfrommom, to check his status, you need his account name and password. This means that in order to see if your son’s application was successful, you must contact him. Sorry :(

Accepted along with my friend!
Is there any way to apply for financial aid again after your financial aid situation has changed? Last year both my parents had jobs and this year, my mom lost her job and my dad has only a contractor job. They didn’t offer me any financial aid because both my parents worked but now our family intake is much less, does anybody know if you can apply for financial aid again/

What financial aid they “gave” you is jsut an estimate…when you send in your FAFSA they will reevaluate your situation and off er you more money(they will usually not go lower) but for the majority of people the estimated financial aid package is not going to change

Anybody contest me if Im wrong

Thank for your reply Tim
I got a message from my son-he is admitted as well!!!
I am happy for you all!

Accepted, life is good.

Congratulations questionfrommom :)

I got accepted, but my financial aid is still blank. It says im missing the IDOC and the FAFSA, but those arent available yet right?

Congratulations to all who have been admitted! You’ll love Rice.

Hubert: you should have submitted your CSS info via IDOC if you wanted a financial award estimate. The FAFSA info isn’t due yet. I’d contact RIce and ask if its too late for a FA estimate if you complete the CSS now.

Accepted. Holy crap. Accepted.

does anyone know if they’ve sent out merit awards yet? I’m not really expecting any merit aid, but i wonder when they’ll let us know.

If you get a merit award it will show up in the packet you receive with your acceptance letter.
