congrats rscushman!

urgh if i live in california…nevermind. lol uhh well i dont remember who said that they believe in SIGNS cuz i dont want to go back to the last 8 pages but today i was telling my mom how this girl at my school got into columbia and how everyone is going to the east coast because schools are going downhill in california (so she lets me move to new york) : ] and i was all thats why i applied early decision.

Mom: you applied early decision?
Me: yeah…
Mom: we called the admissions and they said you changed it to regular though.
Me: umm noo…idk why they said that.

I think its fate god saved me : ]] praise the lord! ahh thank god. idk why they said that or how but if they wouldve said otherwise… my parents wouldve changed it. and i wouldve freaked out today if i hadnt called nyu yesterday to find out the “status of my app” which was mailed out yesterday. im soo happy! that at least it wasnt cancelled and ill still no if im reject or accepted. i can move oonnn either way!

@mukula
People used their NYU ID numbers to check to see if they could activate their accounts for NYU emails and such.
It worked for a while until NYU noticed and well, they stopped it.
I still have my brown e-mail from a summer program I did two years ago, so I figured it might work again this year.
I was wrong.

babygrl…are you on crack?

Stern has started to hear back. NY friend of mine and 5 of his buddies have gotten in. Cali’s just 2-3 days away…sigh.

omg really? gosh now im even more anxious

gosh i wished i live in ny instead of cali just for this week so i could get my letter early

i know, same =[. this wait is killing me

No letter today. Monday?

waitttt. so letters come by ups and not the regular post?
so i should be waiting for that instead of being mad because my mail already came?!
i live literally 15 minutes from the city.

yup. first class mail. ups/fedex.

lol yeah idk i was thinkin if i lived in ny, if i would still want to go to nyu. it seems like a lotta kids want to go there even tho they live there. ppl here like to stay where they are too but i cant wait to get away from this tiny little town cuz new york is soo much more exciting and full of life. my town is dead.

thats 3 of us californians so far! what do u guyz think about the ny weather? my parents are discouraging me from going cuz they think weather is horrible there lol but idk i guess that shouldnt be something to stop me. and it isnt. if i moved to Los angeles… i know itd be way to hot but i guess i could adjust either way. i would either have to get smoothies and dress with shorts and tshirts all the time or get coffee and bundle up with uggs and warm jackets next to the heater!

so we are for sure not getting it today? i really want to call the guy who gets our mail. but ive been bugging him all last week. and i know its like one week outta the year and he’ll forget but i feel kinda bad : / even tho its like a 2 second phone call. im pretty sure i wont get it today but i reaaally dont want my parents to get it before i do cuz i know theyll open it for me. the lady said she mailed it out yesterday but idk they couldve mailed it out earlier. if any cali. kids get it, PM me!

Uhh… no it’s not. They’re sent through the regular postal service. All first class mail means is that mail is delivered in 1-3 days. There is no way NYU would pay for our decisions to be sent through FedEx. …And I say this because my mom works for a private mailing company that sends out admissions decisions ALL the time.

babygrl - we GET IT… we get that your parents don’t want you to go to NYU. Please stop now

exactly, first class is delivered in 1-3 days. send out yesterday, which means they work sat, mon and tues. makes perfect sense. all of my friends have gotten it via first class.

and cali = no for today.

Yes, I agree…I live in Cali and theres no chance first class mail would make it here until monday at the earliest.

Yes… and it’s sent through regular USPS mail… meaning that a mailman would bring it, not UPS or FedEx

one of my good friends from long island who applied music ed to steinhardt got accepted today. So i’m sure everyone in the northeast will know by monday and west coast tuesday at the latest

do you know which music program it was in steinhardt lukealator11?

Anyone apply to Steinhardt as a fine arts major?
