I’m SO nervous. I was doing okay for the first few weeks, but now that people are receiving LSP letters, I’m totally freaked out.
For you LSP people, what size envelope? Big or small?
I’m nervous! Somebody send me an acceptance letter…
Also, any other Gallatin EDers?

Yeah, I want to know the size of the envelopes too!

You guys are borderline neurotic!

I didnt get anything in my mail but I think the rejection letter comes folded 3 times in a regular letter sized envelope and the acceptance packet comes in an envelope a little bigger than the size of an unfolded piece of paper.

NYU Received 3,140 ED applications this year. A 5% increase from last years 2,979. I’m soooooo nervous!

Yeah I read that too… so scary.

@LGets

LSP admits are big packages with the letter, a f.a.q. brochure and a glossy mag.

Since most ED applicants are from NY, NJ, CA, TX, and FL… would being from the midwest help a lot?

If they’re sending out acceptances next week, couldn’t we know by the end of next week? As in, a week and a half from now?

Also, Shandrydan makes a good point…we’re all a little neurotic.
SO, to relax, why don’t we play a game?

I’ll give a This or That, and the next poster will reply and give one for the next poster.

Super Powers: Invisibility or Time Travel?

maan that sounds so far away. well i started caring more after reading people’s posts on here lol and then someone said “time for sleepless nights” and then i started thinking about that one night and couldnt sleep! < thats neurotic. yep. but it sux to wait for a rejection letter : [ lol i cant betchyall my tuition fee lol jk but im gonna need some comfort if i dont get in! its gonna suck sooo much.

I think if someone is freaking out or getting nervous go ahead and let it out! i mean i feel like here is the one place where everyone around you understands what your going through (especially regarding NYU)… so if posting on CC makes you feel even slightly less anxious then just do it
AND
This or that?
idk what it really is… but i’ll give it a try

my choice: time travel

desire: $800 or A+ on AP test of choosing

i hope i did that right :)

A+ I’m assuming means a 5 and I’ll take that in a science to hopefully skip some mandated class

increase you GPA by .2 or your SAT score by 150 (i could have a 2420, that’d be so unique)

dude, def sat increase. I hate the sat lol

yeah i’m ridiculously neurotic. sleep? ha!

i’ll do a mean one… listen to nothing but miley cyrus or only wear all yellow for the rest of your life?

dude, def sat increase. I hate the sat lol

yeah i’m one of the ridiculously neurotic. sleep? ha!

i’ll do a mean one… listen to nothing but miley cyrus or only wear all yellow for the rest of your life?

NYU BPE! Anyone else applying to BPE?

LGetsStuffDone: I heart you. No, really, I do. Great idea.

Oooh Miley everyday… that’s brutal. I’d say wear yellow, for sure.

Walk over a football field length of hot coals, or eat an entire jar of mayonnaise?

Thanks Shandrydan! Just wanted to bring a lil fun to the group
Ouch! That one’s brutal.

I’m gonna go with mayonnaise - a decision I might soon regret.

Call or Text?

From NYU’s Undergraduate Admissions page:

“The majority of admissions decisions for Early Decision applicants will be mailed toward the end of the week of December 7th. (Please note that we said “the majority” and not “all.”) Most of the remaining decisions will be in the mail by the end of the following week.”

That was actually earlier than I expected. Good luck everyone!

hey all NYU EDers! Best of Luck! i applied ED to another school but if that does not work out, I will be applying RD to NYU Stern (my second choice)! NYU is amazing!!

call

thriller or Man in the mirror (there is a right answer to this question)

ny0rker - where’d you apply early?

and if I live let’s say… on the NYU campus, you think I can expect to get a letter (if i didn’t get LSPed) by the 11th?
